The brief few times I flew with your were some of my best, the clarity your leadership delivered in fleet was inspiring and something we could all learn from. I'll look forward to what happens next. i was flying with you guys up north,
and had a lot of fun, also did learn
a few things from you.
it makes me sad to see you go down, however
thats what seems to happen to most (small)
alliances - sooner or later.
i wish you guys all the best in your future,

Seleen, I met u at 2005 fanfest, after some talking you invited me to join BDCI. I never talked to you again after then fanfest about it. Thought u wouldn't remember it.
I had so much respect for you, your ideas and how u know exacly what u wanted, both for corp/alliance and EvE.
Fly Safe guys. U defied all ods and u had the meanest cap fleet new eden has seen. Respect.

Well, EVE never allowed the playstyle of a "real" mercenary.

/me notices that the MC tags are definitely gone
Took a while to dispose of alliance assets and get things cleaned up for the shut down I suspect. Ah well catch you all in empire as you wander around figuring what to do. |

Throughout playing EVE I've had the utmost admiration and respect for what the MC have done and how they've done it. I always kept in the back of my mind the idea of applying to join an MC corp if I ever left mine. I never did, so I never got to apply, but I would have loved to have been a part of that team.

Ive always had the greatest respect for the MC and I actually believed it would be the alliance that would last till the end of the game or EVE 2 (if there ever will be such a thing). You were something totally unique, something utterly powerful and something very much feared in the world of EVE. Admittedly I was out of the game when your direction changed and some of the founder corps left, but as Mercenary alliance you are second to none and I believe it will be a long time for something to come along that rivals your status.
Here begins the use of the phrase:

MC stayed ahead of the curve for so long due to great leadership in tactics, game mechanics and strategy but when key personalities faltered and the old guard were diluted by new voices, the countdown timer on MC's lifespan began ticking.
At their best MC were the most effective Alliance in Eve and at their worst; an embarassment. Props for deciding to go out holding space.
The biggest concern for territory holding Alliances today is where all of the Cap ships from MC and TRI go next.. there is about to be a significant redistribution of power, that will start the next Chapter of Eve. People with Caps don't "go back to Empire". |

It's a shame, but nothing lasts forever. You guys had a great run and achieved some great things. Your friends love you and your enemies hate you with a fierce passion, doesn't get better than that. Kudos on having the balls to risk it all and walking away with your head held high when it didn't work out.

The flag may be folded and the doors may be closed, but the flag is not burnt and the doors are not locked. we will see MC rise again, somthing that grate may die but ther are those who will seek out its power. Again MC will rise like a grate phoenix from the depths of time.
