From the moment I wanted to shoot something that was actually alive I've wanted to be in the MC. I had my first experiences with them in the ISS in the siege of 9uy and it proved to me that everything I had heard about the Mercenary Coalition was true. Professional, efficient, and deadly. I just recently got the chance to become a part of this organization and I have to say that all of these things are still true. Whatever your opinion on current events (and the decision to fight or not), you must acknoledge that the game is different because of what MC has done. I applaud Seleene for having the courage to know when it's time to stop, it's been difficult for many members of the MC and we're just a part of the experience, not it's architect.
To all the folks that show up on the overview, thanks for the fights, and to the MC Corps and Tortuga Alliances thanks for making every day I've been in MC/Tortuga my best in EVE.

From what I can tell you, your corp, and Magz don't have anywhere near the history, kill ratio, or moxie that MC had. I mean, Cosa Nostra? Gutsani? Magz? Come on? Some people know Magz (for nothing positive, mainly smack), but you, the corp - you're all jealous, bitter little whiners who are the only people talking down MC in this entire thread. Another incompetent alliance bites the dust. Many said MC was uber after their northern campaign. This was mainly due to the fact that the north did not have caps. When you bring caps into the game MC either dock or pos up. They were weak and in this game the weak does not survive. |

 It did for a long time. They just changed into something that wasn't a merc corp anymore. Sel more or less admitted it in the opening post - that and it was his baby and he didn't want it changing anymore then it already had. |

D2 had tons of caps, MM had tons of caps. But you're kinda right anyway, steamrolling the north was no huge accomplishment considering D2 was already a rotting carcass and the rest were looking to them for leadership and well, not getting any. MC had a pretty big bandwagon going against a terribly coordinated and organized bunch of alliances that had no leadership at all. But MC did organize their group of alliances and put in a lot of work killing D2 specials and organizing and hauling and whatnot, so it was somewhat impressive despite the lack of real resistance. I don't think it's fair to call them incompetent, altho they certainly have been since christmas and they did fail to kill IAC like four times  |
