LOL. Goons resuscribe not for what you are or represent, but according to the projects in the queue ? Keeps getting better & better. Fact is that I have yet to see any major goon attempt or accomplishment which didn't mainly depend on foreign factors, be it via formal or circumstancial alliances. It's like with BoB. A good year ago I was arguing with some of your members that you would'n be able to crush BoB as an entity simply because both game mechanics & brute force would not be sufficient to damage their cohesion as long they maintain focus and will. And here we are. I don't think there's any other entity like Goons & Co where the CAOD talk is so disconnected from ingame reality. I don't know if all this is connected with your internal mess, but it is an old tactic to seek trouble outside in the attempt to hide or deflect inner problems. However doesn't always work as expected. The other day I was neutrally watching a mid-sized goon camp in EC from a cloaked recon. At a first glance it was refreshing to meet a decent array of various kinds of T2 ships deployed, instead of the famous T1 blob. But seeing how a small counterattack led by Darkness resulted in the whole camp getting popped except for a few ceptors which managed to get out, I can only conclude that even if overall goon sp stats have improved, sp's are still no cure for a missing brain or lack of tactical flair. If that performance was symptomatic of your abilities, I'll wish you good luck, you will need it whoever your opponent is  |

Lose what space? You mean the recently conquered space that they hadn't held for a majority of their existence? Good job on tripping at the goal line though, puts in perspective everything you've "accomplished". However, it's to be expected, Delve is npc space after all, and everyone knows it's impossible to take. How'd you guys fair in Syndicate again? But your right, you can't believe everything you read on the forums. Such as "we didn't lose in Syndicate" or "because 1 constellation is npc, it makes the whole region npc". In many ways GS is like TRI, alliances built up as if they have a glorious background, but in reality they have never won a notable war, and is marked with failed campaign after failed campaign. It would seem though, since you guys have such recent involvement in a "npc" region and hold the belief that a npc region is unconquerable that your next target wouldn't be the exact type region to attack. So there's only 2 possible options here; 1) you don't actually believe that npc regions are unconquerable thus completely throwing out the window your reason for failure in Delve or 2) your leaders are complete idiots who are leading you into a un-winnable war, making you and the rest of GS a bunch of mindless sheep who are putting themselves in the same quagmire you found yourselves so recently in Delve. In a way it's a lose lose situation. If you win in Geminate, you prove that npc regions are conquerable, thus admitting you lost in Delve, and if you lose, then you have another failed campaign. GL though, seriously.  |
