I was wondering whats a good set up for Minmator Cruisers to use in both PvE and solo PvP?
Which is better autocannons or artillery?
Also basically what is the difference between these two set ups in the case of cruisers?

For solo pvp, either the Rupture or Stabber, if you can't use t2 guns, I suggest you use the Rupture, as the Stabber HAS to be able to use Barrage M to be able to effectively hit outside 10km, as the main advantage about the stabber is it's speed so you need to make sure that you stay outside webbing range, takes a bit of practice
And for the rupture, you can do it in t1 gear but preferably t2
4 220mm 1 Small energy neutralizer, 1 Small nosferatu
10mn micro warp drive, warp disruptor, Stasis webifier
1600mm plate, Energized adaptive nano membrane, Damage control, 2 Gyrostabilizer
Hornet ec-300 as drones
For solo pvp, you must use autocannons, sniping and solo doesn't go well together, as the warp disruptor range is 20km, using Artillery generally means that your using your range to your advantage, most things would rip you apart because 20km isn't long range
For pve, I suggest you use a Rupture, I think artillery might be better than autocannons, not sure on a fit.
Remember to try to train all relevent skills to 3, preferably 4 |

Ah i see...  Ok...well i fit the Stabber and Rupture for PVP as follows- Stabber is only really effective with T2 AC's and Barrage as you can use the falloff to your advantage. This is almost a death trap these days with 'overheated' webs now reaching to 13km. This cuts your effective 'operating' range to a mere 5km or so which is pretty slim when you flit about at over 4km/s. Anyways... 4 x 180mmT2 AC's 2 x Heavy Missile MWD SCRAM LSE2 DCU2 OD2/OD2/Gyro2/Nano2 etc ecm drone. As mentioned above...its a virtual death trap these days with the introduction of Heat. Ruppi - 4 x 180mmT2 AC's 2 x Assault Missiles MWD X5 Web Scram 1600mm RT DCU2 EANM2/EANM2/Gyro or a mix thereof. ECM Drones. You can use T1 guns and faction ammo on this ship no problem...indeed use T1 for all until you can use T2. Its a dam good ship. Also there are loads of Rupture Stabber threads...do a search for more setups and info. Enjoy.  |

Edit : Another note, if your new to solo pvp, I suggest you try it out with a Rifter first to get the experience, and is this low sec by the way? |
