I can't field an offensive force that big. But i am willing to co ordinate attacks.
When I attacked one of them last (1 day ago as of this post) they said our leader set a non aggression pact with them and then had 3 different people attack my capital at once. I replied saying I didn't know and appologized. I pulled my ships back before they got to his town, but not before several ground troops reached my capital. All of their ground forces got slaughtered by my ground forces as well as their ships blockading my port when my ships came back. It wasn't until after all this happened that they acknowledged my reply. Ether way I'm not impressed. |

Hello - have been off for a few days (end of term, aka lots of drinkski). Lordsky wanted the war off and apologised for the spamage. Apologies I got this out late, I havent been on the forums or Ikariam for a few days.... I sort of forgot they existsed  My apologies. |

How much defense should you have? I read in the Ikariam forums something like a Phalanx per level of town hall then I see the 100+ Phalanx in a town  Just curious |

Defences needed depends on how much you think might get thrown at you. Phalanx (for the early-mid game. Steam Giants for later) and a nice thick wall make for a hard nut to cra..*ahem* break open.
Currently, I'm making sure that all my walls are L24 to go with my lovely Steam Giants. In about a month, I should have some nice balloons to drop nasty surprises when I'm attacking. (Not to mention Diving Boats for the best naval defense)
I'm a carebear all right....an EEEvil carebear. Build up and research, THEN go out and slaughter the masses. Efficiently. |

IDEA Apparently military treaties will be completed soon. Whys that important I hear you say, well heres why. It means that we can get 1 person to do hot drops and everyone else sighns a military treaty. This costs 13 diplomacy points to the one proposing the treaty to gain access and 4 from the receiver to set it up. Something to keep an eye on, if I can get my next palace upgrade then everyone sighns a military treaty with me then I can hot drop the 1 colony anywhere on the map and everyone can use it as a rally point for campaighns. Will take a few weeks till I have the materials mind..... only around 10 people at a time will be able to have the military trieaties due to the number of embasies I will need to to upgrade to near ridiculous levels  |

Just curious as I don't understand all of the ways diplomacy works in Ikariam but... If I understand correctly, you as the leader of the alliance maintain diplomacy points for the recruitment of alliance members. It looks like from what little I can read that the other member's diplomacy points can not add to this. So instead of you having to upgrade embassies to maintain such a base, why not have one of the other members maintain that base? It seems like one of us could set up the appropriate treaties to keep your diplomacy points free. I am a day or so from completing palace level 4 so I could do this if it would work. If my assumptions about how this works are wrong... be gentle...  |

That could indeed be done, but early on ingame you need colonies for yourself, not something on the shelf for a spontaneous war.
Having gotten to my endgame I volunteared to be the one to get it initialy, I have 6 cities and if someone with say 4 cities were to do it they would be incapacitated as they use the 4 to save for the 6th instead of 5. |

I need crystal guys, about 10k of it, can probably trade any other reasource for it 1:1. I'd rather trade marble or sulphur as I'm a bit low on wine. Just need it to upgrade my palace for my fourth (crystal) colony |

What is the current game plan? Who are we at war with currently? Looking to start building up a good size navy and want to know some targets  Also i have around 10k or so of Sulphur still that im looking to trade for marble if anyone has surplus. |

well done Kirjava for sticking at it - its a shame ~I was banned - My empire would of been so vast by now haha - I was in the top 100 of mass armys :( hope my 300 alliance destorys everyone else =P |

I remember noting down on a pad of paper when I spotted you slipping through the ranks slowly.... o7 Twice  300 ceased to exist a while back, gamma wardecced them and.... well 50+medium to small alliance vs 300, its like hundreds of 3yr olds mauling a blackbelt karate master to the ground Eve is ceded 22nd on the tankings now though |

very good - yer they banned me for havin 3 accounts sadly well two - 1 was a friends but they were all used as 1 really meh =/
Dont get me wrong I spent hours on the PC with static mods tho so I did put the time & effort into makin my army massive & such, but yer I did boost my main time with 2 marble col & 2 crystal col - ah well live & learn eh eh =)

If you want to grab a cultral treaty, please specifiy your an Eve player, I dont really want outside treaties so usually just ignore them.
I'm at 67:16 Cistuvaert, and I have a pile of treaties still availble.
I even have one from static mods still,.... |

So the corruption has 2 pieces of info, a usual "%0" and then next to it, I usualy have a 7% ( well use to ) is that the true value, and what it will change to when it goes 100% ? |

I don't know. There were a couple forum posts explaining what happens for those with multiple colonies. However, when I asked what would happen to those of us without mansions, and without colonies, it only got locked, no explanation. |

Basically it was intended a few casual players would join, play for a month then move on.
The players had different ideas, THEY RAN AMOK!
They stayed the whole time and became too good by comparison and **** the new guys. |

We are on Eta world, Fought 5 alliances so far and will war dec 2 more in 2 weeks. We are a small but effective alliance.

And yes, a lot of ppl have left the game, We were 26 strong at one point and are now down to 16. This is after recruiting new players. Only way to play the game is alliance wars otherwise its totally boring after about 6 weeks. |
