As I promised in http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=689578&page=2#40 We will try to determine why AAA isn't abiding by RA's ban on sov warfare between southern coalition members. I believe this question has a larger political context, so please keep off the spam and smack and say what you think. If need be, more possible answers will be added to the poll as additional answers are already added from subsequent posts on the "AAA taking C3" thread. - AAA challenges RA will and global interests?
- RA didn't really mean it when they said it (that's called a lie, no?)
- RA really meant what it said, but that deal is off from some time in the past but no one told KOS leadership?
- It's all a big misunderstanding, AAA isn't a part of southern coalition, funny eh? Did anyone tell RSF? :)
- What RA really meant in fine print is (which also is kinda not honest) - "no picking on coalition members unless they are the weakest link in the coalition"
- What RA really meant in fine print is (which also is kinda not honest) - "no picking on coalition members unless they are the weakest link in the coalition"
and do so until only Goons, AAA and RA are left

What did you expect to happen?
RA obviously values -A- far more than it values KOS, so if they want your space Red Alliance isn't going risk upsetting a their real friends over a politically convientient friendhsip with KOS.
Besides with the inability of this game to support the entire RGF in an assault on Delve it was only a matter of time before PvP organisations like -A- sought action elsewhere.
In my opinnion other allies of the RGF who are their as a result of political convenience as oppossed to true friendship need to watch their backs also in the coming weeks. |

As far as I'm aware -A- was never a member of the sourthern coalition and was never blue to all of the southern coalition members. Sure they helped out IAC and set some very short term blues to some people, but part of the coalition ? I don't think so. |

This is obvious. According to the "master plan" the RSF will have only 3 big entities: RA, AAA and Goons. The whole South will be rented to farmers, pets or other small insignificant entities, while RA will be slowly chewing the drone regions. Larger entities like KOS, TCF and later IAC will have no future in the RSF. KOS was chosen because it was considered the weakest link. Tortuga guys will be next, then TCF and finally IAC. After that Goons may become a target too, but that is a very wild guess.
But coalition members shouldn't burden their mind with such things. They are required to undock and fight the ebil BoB. |

Is this a joke? One of the southern alliances has distanced themselves from this whole GBC V.S. RSF powerbloc epeen contest and has decided to gorge themselves on an alliance who.. to be quite honest doesn't contribute anything but meatshields?
Even though you're in the alliance that AAA has chosen to powerfarm to satiate their thirst for emo tears you can still give them a slap on the back for going their own way and attacking whoever they see fit regardless of politics.
Just sit back and enjoy the ride, you have someone to PVP against that doesn't need to bring the might of a powerbloc behind them to engage you.
Silver linings and all that. |

That's a normal consequence when too much of a given alliance's member base spends it's time carebearing and not responding to ctas, no grief there. And I disagree about the accusation regarding RA. We all believe RA to be leaders of the southern coalition. When members of the coalition who are not really members but they are too start disregarding RA declarations which are both absolute and conditional - then something doesn't add up. We are here to try to see what Eve players think is the part that doesn't add up. |

It is hardly rocket science.
1. Everyone enjoys easy fights where they get loads of kills and few losses. 2. Fighting BoB is not easy and is likely to result in significant losses and is guaranteed to result in a lot of lag. 3. KOS are not very good. 4. ...... 5. Profit. |

Even IF (big IF) RA was annoyed by the actions from AAA (which I sincerely doubt), do you really think they want to open that door by starting a war with AAA?
KOS is peanuts, always have been. And wasnt it RA that took pity on KOS after beating the crap out of them 1.5 years ago?
All I can say is good luck, you'll need it. Now stop whining, it makes you look even weaker. Its one alliance, either show that you can hold your own or gtfo of 0.0.

RA care primarly for there space that has been there home since the dawn of EVE. They also care about people that show types of commitment, loyalty/trust and willing to persevere, as you have said you have great numbers but no one turns up to a CTA... Then you need to show not just RA but others your ability to shed your dead weight and get to grips with your existing corps that want to do things and make change. In theory you could drop your alliance to 5 solid corp membership and build internal power blocks instead of multiple corps for greater numbers. Then when those 5 corps fight there hearts out for something you may find someone more willing to help you out... Until you make any reforms your alliance moral will continue to drop like a lead balloon. Trust me when I say, if a alliance member sees 50 in alliance and 45 in gang and you still can not fight, that alliance member will see that everyone is there with him and he is not alone... the flip side is futile. |

One simple question: What makes KOS a coalition member? Sure, noone excepted KOS to be a big help. But did KOS even try? I guess it's your own lazyness that brought you this outcome.

Edited by: duckmonster on 24/01/2008 11:57:42 Edited by: duckmonster on 24/01/2008 11:56:24 I can't speak for AAA obviously as I'm not a member, but I think they'd agree that whilst they are good buddies with many SoCo members , they are not members by there own choosing. They just have goals and we work together on stuff.
Now is the SoCo turning on KOS?
No,
Goonswarm is still blue RA is still blue (I think) TCF is still blue IAC is still blue (I think) UL is probably blue Forgot who else (I guess CVA is still blue, but they aint SoCo either, just friendly) and so on.
but we are also blue to AAA. That does mean we have blues shooting blues.
Ultimately you have to ask AAA. AAA don't seem to like too many blues, so I guess they will do what they do. Sort it out with them. Maybe come to an agreement? *shrug* |
