Does anyone know of a way to increase the font size in EVE? I'm trying to play the game in 1680X1050 resolution, and the game is beautiful. But some of the text sizes seem too small. I can make the chat window font any size. I can set the context windows to size 12 as max. And looks like one can set all others to expanded, but that still seems too small. Any other options available?

Seriously, the small font size, coupled with its single colour option, is IMO the biggest problem with EVE today. CCP is either oblivious to the basics of interface designing or flat-out ignoring the fonts because they can't be bothered. I'm using a "bog-standard" 1280x1024 screen resolution on a 19" monitor, and I'm having problems reading the text.
CCP should take a breather from their "Needz sum speedz" and "My precious graphix!" projects and devote a little time to giving us more options about the font. A few more size options, and the option to choose the colour of the text would do nicely. Good results of this would be to allow us to use all those colours that we can set for the windows (thus allowing us to make EVE look like Hello Kitty Online if we want to) and to allow us to read the game text when we're in those pink-nebulae star systems. |
