HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET PODDED BY A BATTLESHIP OR A CARRIER?

Seriously, they have massive locktimes....you could even dawdle picking a destination and still get away with time to spare Shocked

Here's a tip. If you see that you are going to go down, select an object in space and spam the warp to button. Outside of laggy situations you should never lose another clone.
Target painter perhaps? If it's a properly set up gate camp the BS ought to be able to lock a hauler in the blink of an eye.

You serious? You realize that you need to have a lock to use a target painter, right? More probable explanation would be smartbombs.

remote sensor boosting is a good explanation aswell.

The comment was regarding him losing his pod, the hauler I can sympathise with but even a BS with sensor boosters would still require 10 or so seconds to lock a pod.

There are so many mechanisms to avoid this type of gank you're a 2005 player you know what they are. You chose not to use them, mission wasn't that important after all.

Being a 2005 character I can't believe you've even posted the loss.

Ok i understand your a little ****ed you got bbq'd in 0.4, but if youve been playing as long as you say, surely this isnt the first ship youve lost, you knew the risks, and you knew you wouldnt get any sympathy on here for your loss.

Get over it?

1) Learn to scout
2) Learn to use the starmap
3) Learn not to run missions through a camped gate in a ship that can't run it
4) Fit your hauler for evasion / alpha strike survival (stabs in the lows, extenders in the mids, cloaking device in a highslot works very well)

You are not safe in lowsec. You must do things such as think, plan, and use strategies you devise yourself in order to be successful. If you can do that you won't have too many problems missioning in lowsec.

Yes, you're right, it's his fault if he got killed.

Still, it's about time the sentries get an upgrade in dps and range, Nothing short of a capital should be able to perma-tank them, imho.

To the OP,

I feel your pain...

While I have not been playing as long as you have, I too have always wondered and complained about High Sec Agents sending you into Low Sec space to make a delivery...

As a Mission Runner I try to pick my agents carefully to avoid this, but I can't seem to pick the storyline agents... and they seem to like to go out of their way to send me to some system many jumps away in a short period of time (for the bonus) that is infested with those who are so enamored of shooting other people...

I guess I will continue to decline these missions out of habit, as I have no desire to test the locking speed of anyone...

I have been playing for like 2 month, already spending 99% of time in 0.4-0.2 systems. If i can survive here, and you got pwnd during one mission = umm bad luck. Complaining about it on forums= phail.

i lost my pod in a death-lag. if you get podded, you get also an lag. this lag was 3-4 seconds long.
i startet to dock with my pod and landed on my clone-station.

death-lag is horrible.

Serious answer;

If you undock in 0.4 space and there are hostiles outside the station you want to avoid, simply wait 30 sec(dont move, activate stuff etc) and dock up.

You made a mistake, you died. Simple as that

Don't run missions of any kind in low sec, and that means don't work for agents that assign you missions in low sec.

If you get a mission in low sec, decline it instead of accepting it, you shouldn't get a faction hit as long as you don't do this more than once in four hours.

Is it true that the intergalactic whambulance organisation has revoked your masta license and degraded you to padawan? Many questions but the public needs to know these issues! Any comments mr.Masta?

If you try to dock b4 the 30 seconds it IS class'd as activity, meaning they can now lock you (the campers) and you will have to wait out the remainer of the 30 sec's.

Dont touch anything..... wait 30 sec's...... dock
