I was running allot of missions, turning in the missions for the group, both of us got the standings increase and both of us got the share of the money. No problems there.

Then I was given a storyline mission by an agent in the same system, so we both decide to run that storyline. Everything seams cool, when I turn in the mission my friend seams to get half the isk reward, like normal, but the standings increase does not show up when he does a "show transactions" on Caldari state or the corp we ran the storyline for. Just in case, we wait 24 hours (since sometimes the standings take a while to update) and nothing. I run some more missions on my own, and when I get a new storyline, as an experiment, we gang up (it was the 10 part storyline). Each time, he got a cut of the mission reward money, but no standings increase.

Is this intentional? Am I doing something wrong (like how with courier missions you have to go back to the original agent to turn it in to share it)

Working as intended. It seems CCP wants those who have trashed their standings to a faction to remain unable to run missions for them forever.

when you share normal missions with someone who has bad faction standing, if the can get the corp standing high enought to run missions for the corp with the bad faction then they can get storyline missions to fix the bad faction, only way really

From what I know you faction standing is always read before your corporation standing. If the faction standing don't allow missions with a faction, you can't run them with any corporation linked to that faction, indipendently from the corporation standing you have.

Faction standing boosts are not shared as they're computationally expensive (due to dervied standings having to be calculated), and in any event we decided we didn't want that functionality to be included.

With regards to fixing negatative standings, if your agent, corp and faction standings are all above -2.0 effective, it takes the highest of the three standings (-1.9 faction, 1.0 corp, 0.0 agent gives effective 1.0 standing). However, if any of the three drop below -2.0, you cannot use the agent (-2.1 faction, 10.0 corp, 10.0 agent means you still can't use the agent). We're still discussing whether or not this is something we want to change.

Hmm... Looks like I should start fixing my Gallente standings before they get that bad then. :)

Ok, factional standing won't be shared, to much of a system hit, but what about the corp standings of the storyline mission that was just run? A storyline gives a huge boost to the corp that you just ran it with, can't that be shared?

If it's not, that may be a bug. Or rather, a miscommunication during the design process Smile

It really should take either two of the three, or do some weighted averages.
give agents a weight of 1,
corps a weight of 2,
and factions a weight of three - then your 7, 7, -5 (more realistic numbers) would have an effective standing of 1.0.

Or something along those lines, so that in the worst case scenario diplomacy 5 would be needed and something along the lines of 9. 9, -5 would equate to -2.0 - that way if you really want to ammend for past mistakes then you can, but you'd have a ton of work to get it positive.

when I shared the storyline mission... the other person in the gang did not get faction or corp standings increase from the mission... he got the money from the mission reward... but no corp standings or faction standings increase.

should i bug report it?

without quoting a GM response, I did a bug report/petition, and GM P0ntifex said that only money is shared

so it is not a bug that corp standings increase is not shared.

I wish that when you remotely turned in a courier mission you had an option to share the mission rewards, since team mates could be scouting for you in a low sec courier job. If the courier mission ends at the agent station, you can turn it in for the group, but if it ends in a remote station you can't, since you have to be at the destination station to turn it in, and the remote chat with the agent does not have an option to turn in for group

A few us corpmates were all running Carthum missions together, all of us using the same agents spread across a few systems.

We shared all the missions whenever there was an option to share.

The kill missions were no problem, everyone got their share of standing increase whether or not they participated or where in system at the time.

Couriers worked really funny. If the courier ended in one of the core systems where we had run kill missions in the same session, splitting the reward was always an option even if not at the agent's station, but any courier that led to systems farther a field, i.e., any system we had not run a kill mission in, the rewards couldn't be shared.

And with storylines only isk reward was split, no corp or faction standing increase.

Adding this info to the defect we have open on this issue, thanks for the input Smile
