Ok, so there was this movie I saw when I was a kid...I've been trying to remember the name of it but for the life of my I can't dig it out of my thick skull.
The plotline was that this small village of rodents who lived in the woods, but near a road of some kind. One day some guy driving along said road drops a bottle out of the window of his car, scattering several sharp pieces of glass along the road. Later a tanker truck carrying some harmful gas (natural gas maybe? I dunno) has a blowout as a result, crashing and causing a gas leak. The gas flows into the village and ends up killing most of the people/rodents there except for this group of kids that was lucky enough to be away at the time.
The group has one of the character's little sister in tow, because she managed to survive the gas but it very sick as a result, so they have to go on a long journey in order to find a cure.
Other random memories from this movie:
*A tense scene involving them almost being eaten by an owl
*A rodent-sized flying machine
*Humans in has-mat suits showing up at the end
Anyone have any idea what this is? This is very frustrating. |

I won't tell much. movie sounds familier, but then it's probably the memories of several different movies with similar happenings all merging into one... Yeah, I don't know what it is  |

Sounds like something like Mrs Frisby and the rats of NIMH, Watership Down and the Animals of Farthing Wood all rolled into one! No idea though really... |

omg the memories  AoFW was great, even if I barely remember it. Watership Down actually legitimately disturbed me when I first saw it - especially the bit where all the bunnies are suffocating to death. Anyone else get that? |

Hrm...well I know for a fact it's not any of the listed movies/series...damnit. One other memory I managed to drag up was that throughout the movie all the characters thought the humans intentionally poisoned everyone but at the very end one of them gets caught by the has-mat dudes and to everyone's surprise is treated kindly and released...I think that character in question was a mole...with glasses. GRR.  |

Animals of Farthing Wood - watched that when i was younger, i was like wow this is really boring.
Watership Down - someone told me this was like AoFW but slightly different, i watched it and was quite sad, i prefered AoFW which was alot more, well not deathly!
