It is presumptuous to believe an alliance is dead while you are fighting them. Rise is not dead, though they will most likely loose their space. IAC is not dead, and "IF", I emphasize so people understand hypothetical scenarios, it get's close to as with Rise, it will take many more months before GBC actually gains a firm foothold in IAC capital constellation. Of course, the same can be said IF the war heads to delve. But, we have all seen how things can turn unexpectedly, especially in this war.

Honestly, the posting didn't really start until after this skirmish was over and bob (Yaay?) decided to engage those of us who regrouped and made it into the RIT triangle. Here's a short timeline of events to clear things up for you: - Yaay's gang engages us while we were outnumbered and not even formed up in P0, even busted our safe spot and caught a bunch of stupid goons who weren't aligned with our warp in interceptor. Our scout was sucking and we were sloppy after having a relatively uneventful convoy out to RISE space, our bad. - Yaay makes a confidence boosting post on COAD - Goons, KOS, and PL begin laying siege to RISE towers and disabling POS modules - Yaay probably gets word that we have the gates into RIT relatively lightly defended (Frigs and Cruisers were pretty much all we had in RIT at the time, the BSes were 2 jumps out of RIT shooting towers) and decides to come back for round 2. - Our scouts get the drop on their gang and the BSes get recalled to RIT to reinforce the support on the gate. - Yaay's uncloaking 'oopsie' happens while the BS fleet is still en route to the P8- gate, and the fight starts. - RISE fleet starts warping in to reinforce the gang jumping in, and everyone starts dying spectacularly, Goons and friends concentrating on the enemy BS fleet while the GBC concentrates on Goon support (I made a post in this very thread mid fight after my 3rd or 4th killmail hit my inbox) - Smoke clears and we hold the gate, GBC fleet warps in and loses a few ships to minor skirmishing while we loot the field and we chase a bunch of them into P8- and then C-0 before giving up on them and going back to shooting RISE POSes. (We were apparently out of interdictors at this point, good on BoB's anti-support efforts, so it could have been a lot worse for them) - Thread explodes after the irony of this post sinks in (Guys guys, we won that skirmish, never mind that your towers are still going to die, you never wanted that Sov4 anyway) The reason this thread drowned in smack talking from my point of view is because the GBC was concentrating on one infinitely unimportant battle of the evening to make a CAOD post about, while quietly ignoring the fact that this skirmish had no real affect on the outcome of the evening. tl;dr BoB lied, RISE died.
