If you're a fairly new player (in other words..weren't playing before the last mirror) you wont in fact exist on SiSi yet. I can't remember when the last mirror was taken from but it's in a sticky somewhere. |

Ok, I guess I'm not alone, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I'm trying to connect to singularity, copied my eve folder, and made a shortcut with "H:\evetest\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50" in the target line (without quotes) and it claims that the server status is unknown...any ideas on what I could look into or change? Or should I delete the whole folder and install a new eve client in a seperate folder? |

Same problem here. I'm thinking it might be a problem with the firewall, but I can't check yet. Any ideas other than this? |

Ok my target line looks like this "C:\Program Files\CCP\SISI\eve.exe" /end /server:87.237.37.50 and yes there are quotes cuz it's the only way i could stop getting that annoying error hope this helps |

But the patch from the actual TQ build (64451) to the new Singularity build (65764) is working. Overwrite your Testserver folder with the TQ version and download the 150MB patch. That should do it. Or just wait until the Download link for the Singularity patch is updated. |

Ok, you have me curious, how did you actually get this? I went to: http://www.eve-online.com/patches/patches.asp?s=singularity&system=win&edition=premium but it still only has the 65163 build. |

Well i copied the eve folder, changed the shortcut and then started it, it patched ok but im still getting the "server status unknown" problem.(or the "unable to make connection" problem, depending on what you look at i guess) i even port forwarded port 26000 in my router, and nothing has changed. the normal eve server works fine and does not care if port 26000 is forwarded or not. any suggestions? |

I'll never understand the the test server crap. I'd pay the kid that mows my lawn to setup a shortcut. If EvE needs his phone number please contact me ingame. |

Edited by: Introspective on 18/11/2008 00:10:43 I was getting the "unknown" server problem - I've just fixed it, it was my firewall. Make sure your firewall allows the sisi application access :) |

I was having the problem with "Status Unknown" showing up at the login screen, so I started over from scratch.
My OS is Vista 32.
1. Made a copy of my current eve directory, and renamed it to "EVE-SiSi" 2. Went into it, and created a shortcut of the file "eve.exe" 3. Edited the properties and changed the Shortcut Target to :
"D:\Games\MMO\EVE - SiSi\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
4. Started the game using the shortcut. It recognized that it needed a patch and started to download. 5. When the patch asked if I wanted to patch the current directory - double checking I wasn't going to ruin my tranquility experience - I let it do so. 6. Profit! I was able to see the server status and log in successfully.
I didn't change any firewall or access settings. HTH

We have been informed about changes on how to connect to the testserver and I read the post where we are said to add a line about the test server, this line would in my case be as follows:
"C:\Program Files\Eve_testserver\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50"
But any time I try to make the change I get the message:
The name "C:\Program Files\Eve_testserver\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50" specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and filename is correct.
In short, I am unable to make the change, and any time I connect the separate client attempts to get to TQ instead.

The problem is that you put " at the end. Look at the screen shot at the first page again. It should be: "C:\Program Files\Eve_testserver\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50 |

There was an unexpected error while retrieving patch status:
A patch file for your build number is not available. You will have to patch manually.
Do you want to go to support page?
I get this message when I first open up the eve test server, and when it opens up the website where I get my patch it says:We were unable to locate a patchfile for your build no. (71449).

Edited by: Amy Nirvana on 19/01/2009 04:39:05 I figured I'd test this out. I downloaded the client again, installed it to a new folder, patched it and changed my desktop shortcut target to:
"C:\Program Files\CCP\EVEsisi\eve.exe" /server:87.237.38.50
So now my current version is: 5.20.74651
Server: Test Server (Singularity) Status: Incompatible (Release)
Am I doing something wrong?
