Really? I have loads of these, I thought they only sold for a few hundred each...mmmmmmmmmmm nice! |

CCP with Rev did something good. Brought the player control market back in game in full.
So stop the complains. The prices are fine as they are. T1 market crashed. T2 market the same. At least there is a market (along with the POS production) that has some potential. If people sell at cost is their problem. But the suppliers will not lower the prices. Salvaged materials are difficult to get and Rigs should be a luxury and not another typical upgrade.
Imho, I'm waiting the day where even the plain mining asteroids will stop being found in safe space. (It's coming if you read the future developments). |

Not true. Got mine from a crappy frigate sansha. |

This is exactly the point. Well worded post. |

The only major issue that people have with rig prices is that it costs the same to rig a frigate as it does to rig a battleship, but the cost of doing so is usually on the battleship scale (although this has improved for some rigs).
My preferred solution would be to increase drop rates to the point where the current rigs are roughly frigate-priced and then create new rigs for larger ships (possibly by building them out of frigate rigs and building up a hierarchy for larger rigs). |

I always thought they should bring in a lower level of rig, like T0/civilian rigs that would be affordable to fit on a frigate. |

The simple answer is that CCP once again thrills us with their skill at putting their head up their arse when designing their economic model. Why don't they sit down with their economic guru and let him explain what is wrong with this picture? |

Originally by: 34534bobalt3244 That is total BS. I run salvage on level 1 missions with only a level 3 skill in salvage and a destroyer with 5 salvagers and 1 expanded cargohold because i need lows to keep up the cpu with my current skills. I get an easy 2 million for every 20 minutes salvaging and this is not counting the very rare salvage that goes for 500k a pop even if i just filled the buy orders.
I don't know where your doing missions but come over to Amarr space and try. The salvage is pathetic even with good skills/rigs backing you up. Also, if I recall, the OP was talking about rig prices not the isk returns of selling salvage. We all know that selling it earns you a lot more and that's why manufactured rig prices are so high. With the high competition, the manufacturer often makes less selling rigs instead of selling the salvage. But if it wasn't for those of us who actually want to build stuff, there would be no rigs and your profits from selling the salvage would drop significantly. It would drop until a level is reached where selling rigs would be more profitable than selling salvage. |

Alloyed Tritanium Bars are very expensive because both cargo and polycarbon rigs need them and both of those rigs are in very high demand.
Only in Caldari space. Try ratting in Angel space, they drop like popcorn. |

Edited by: Venkul Mul on 19/09/2007 19:40:21 Originally by: Eternus8lux8lucis T2 rigs need to come down into manageable areas in order to sell, either that or they were MEANT to be stupidly expensive as isk sinks for those who use and lose them.
It is very simple: the most reliable source of T2 salvage are faction spawns, but people living in 0.0 and getting them most ofthen don't bother salvaging. So very little T2 salvage get to the market. Originally by: Eulalinda
A very reliable source told me that he read (in a Dev blog likely) that the devs wanted to soak up some of the spare ISK lying around. So they created rigs.
(That's why they're so expensive.)
Tell your source that trade between players don't remove isk from the game. |
