Using massive fighter blobs (causing significant lag) isn't a cheat or a hack. It is however incredibly pathetic and indicative of a general inability to succeed by any other way.

Train some skills, get your own carriers, and use your own "auto-aggro" fighters. No one is stopping you. Quit crying about people using commonplace capital ships within the developer provided ruleset and game mechanics. You Goons are like a bunch of screaming school girls reapting the same crap over and over when things don't go your way. I am suprised Red Alliance has aligned themselves with such a shameful pack of idiots.

"Yea, who would have thought that bringing new people into the game is such an evil thing"

this is the justification for bringing shuttles and noob ships to battles involving caps and supercaps ??.. all new players can fly at least frigs . . .order have been issued from the top of your alliance and the coalition to bring crap and shuttle when out of ships and during "epic fights" . . . .there is no spin for it.

As for the "bringing new people to the game " crap " . . .allowing people to build wealth in your little area of space then scamming them has proly got more players out of eve than in.

Like needing 3:1 odds or more to actually face your opponent you mean? Wink
And when that fails you use the forums to whine and scream so that maybe CCP will do something about it? Laughing

Hold on - who fails: we or CCP? Shocked

Oh, let me guess - you are satisfied with current state of EVE servers and their performance, right?

Don't twist it.
The fact is that some Goon members feel the need to blame us for the lag: bringing in lots of fighters, bringing in blobs, etc. This is ironic and hypocritical to say the least when it is your alliance that uses superior numbers to fight it's opponents.

Otherwise, yes, CCP fails when they create content which the servers clearly can't handle when used - territorial conquest and the big fleet battles it leads to. No i am not satisfied with how the servers are. But you don't see us blaming you for the current state of the servers, or for bringing blobs, etc. Wink

That's the biggest load of bull ever. When our newer players run out of ships in the area they use frigates. Frigates are legitimate ships, flown by players, with modules activated by players. That is a perfectly legitimate tactic. I have never heard anyone say to bring random newbie ships to "lag out a system." Additionally, the point is that with cyno-jammers in the game, major battles are going to be determined by who has the most drones active in a system rather than who brings the most pilots, better equipped pilots or more experienced pilots (all of which require actual people). I'm not sure what can be done to adjust drones but needless to say it is in fact a sad strategy.

I think you mean effective strategy. Looks like you need to get yourself into a Carrier so you can pwn some BoB ass.

I spent 15 minutes at the r97 gate thinking I was at wrong gate. Nothing was there. Just me and the jump gate. I saw my ship get bumped but never saw what bumped me. I could see the gate activate but never saw anything. The all of a sudden I wa sin the middle of the second level of hells fury.

I gotta say on behalf of RMF that was frggin ballsy of you guys to jump in knowing that the lag monster would eat us all. Kudos for the big brass balls. Thanks

Nothing like GBC did in 25s, for example, right? Don't twist it.

I bet you'd be blaming if you jumped into 66- to at least try to defend some of 34 large towers.

But you didn't. Ever wondered why? Ask your leaders (of course, words 'strategical' and 'tactical' will be fed to you, but... worth a try).

And of course, you don't blame us for lag or blobbing. Your alts and pets are pretty effective in doing it 24/7, no need for mains to get involved as well.

This fight, brought to you by the number 109.

----------

while it was terribly laggy, I crashed out right as you all jumped in, I can't help but wonder when we first jumped into (r97?) next to 00y, and you all had setup so nicely, the lag was just a small bit better.

Did you all lag that bad when we jumped in that you couldn't target shoot anything? It took me forever to get locks, and by that time the target was destroyed. I ended up chasing primarys once we started calling them, only to have them die before I could do anything. I think the numbers were about even, maybe a few more either way. what 60+?

How is it that you didn't fair any better on that engagement? Was it lag? Just wondering.

Also shrike cyno'ed into local at an attempt to DD our support fleet I suppose so we all retreated because we wanted to loose them in the black screen in 0oy.

Yea, who would have thought that bringing new people into the game is such an evil thing. It's completely on par with using massive fighter blobs in massively lagged circumstances to kill ships before any players can actually do something. What was I thinking, i'm so crazy. You guys are reaching incredibly far to equivocate the two circumstances when one circumstance is completely out of the players hands (lag/fighters) and the other is not (recruitment, participation and alliance building).

They hate low SP characters that want to bring it Sad I knew it!

I completely forgot this war is only for high SP elitist ***gots.
We're not worthy of loading the grid cause we fly t1 ships and have more friends ugh

Orly? So you think you should be able to join the game, spend 1 day in high sec learning how to play, jump directly in 00 space in your 3 mil ISK cruiser, scream in local "I am a Goon,I will pwn you all because you all suck !" and then proceed to kill just about every 4 years old character you run into? That my friend is why no1 in EVE has any respect for you and your Goon friends, you dont want to earn resepect and you will never receive it. Most of you will play EVE for a few months and leave anyways...

Props to BoB & Co. for bringing it.

And by "it", I mean "fighterblob".

Fair enough though I guess. It was only a matter of time until you finally found a counter to RSF. It will be interesting to see how they counter, and I bet it ends in lots of dead carriers and motherships. Wink

This thread is really bitter, and I do not know why. People take their space games seriously, but I suppose it is frustrating lagging and getting no help from the GMs. Sportsmanship from goons and bob is awful right here. The game is broken, I'm sure BoB is lagging out as well, and that sucks. Hopefully ccp will fix the lag with Revelations 3.

Have fun BoB, you're doing really well and looks like you're having a blast.

It does make me sad though that instead of congratulating eachother on a good fight, everyone is simply full of bitter comments about dev misconduct, or how goons are trash and don't deserve to play the game.

This game gets too serious sometimes.
(can we conga together or no?)

I agree, though I do get serious about the game I still believe in sportsmanship. Lag is terrible btw. CCP fix it damnit.

I quit playing this game, last week giving all my accounts away. I think its pretty silly to pay for a product which doesn't work.

I find it humorous that any of you even chestbeat when you win a battle. regardless of whether Bob or RSF win a battle these days its generally determined by the lag, not by skill.

Bob keep saying goons bring t1 frigs to a battle to lag it up. RSF accuse bob of the fighter spam. You blame each other for doing exactly what the game inteneded, when really it is the inability off ccp to propvide a working product that gives you these tragic stop motion battles.

Of course bob are going to bring more cap ships. They have a playerbase of extrememly high skillpoints. Id be surprised if there are many pilots in their ranks who cant fly a carrier. To think they wouldnt field them is pretty stupid, and to suggest that dreads would make more sense in a fleet battle is also laughable.

On the other hand we have bob accusing rsf of bringing crappy t1 ships to the battle. Sadly, there are always going to be newer players in this game and you dont accept them in your alliance, so guess what, they are probably going to be on the other side. A shuttle is a perfectly good fleet member if it draws primary fire away from another ship. (of course this is relying on a pretty awful opposing fc, but in the current lag quagmire most battles turns into, who knows.)

So here we find ourselves, bickering over who broke the microwave. The one who put too many chicken wings in or the one who put too much pizza in. Everyone enjoys the microwave enough to not want to throw it out the window.

I threw it out the window, not because I didnt like it, but because after the last year of subscription costs, I have seen all of these issues get worse not better, as a consumer, this isnt something I accept.

Good luck to all of you in future, but in 6 months when people look at the alliance map itd be nice to know someone actually carved out a chunk of it for themselves. This beats knowing that the space was given out according to lag lottery allocations. Sadly, I can't find the same kind of epic space battles in my new mmo, however, neither could i find them in Eve anymore.

So yeh this is my first non-biased post so I hope you all enjoy it. Broken game. Lag Dice decide battle outcomes. Ghey

Eve is a fine game, great for most non-pvp activities (majority of eve does this) and even great for 99% of the fighting. It's the 1% of the fleet fights with numbers over 200-300 that it can't handle very well. I wish that was fixed as well.

Those who claim eve have gotten worse over time, you're wrong. Eve used to have problems handling engagements of 30-40 people in one system. It's much better than the past. Problem is the big fleet fights have gone from 40 in a system to 400-600.
