Curatores Veritatis Alliance has long held the goal of stabilizing and settling Providence. Over the year wars and battles have raged around us. Time passes and so have many of the wars of the universe. CVA has typically not been interested in being involved with the divisions of power and ownership so easily traded. Instead we have sought the stabilization and security for law abiding members to travel and inhabit. That commodity is hard to trade and even harder to make. We have, slowly and steadily, worked towards gaining stability for Providence. One can hope that diplomacy can achieve the goals of nations. The reality is much more complicated. The settlement of land requires the plow to break the ground making it productive. Once the land is fruitful others will come to take that which has been won from hard work. Thus, enter the sword to defend one’s goals. Others join and assist and bonds of comradeship and respect form. It is the bond that calls us to the field today. Conflicts have been spilling over into Providence for some time. We have remained stead fast in repelling these incursions. When a neighbor and friend calls for assistance honor demands an answer. To those ends, CVA took the field today to defend IAC’s assets. It has become nearly impossible to not be drawn into these conflicts in some way. Others have attempted to force, coerce, threaten, and subdue us into what history may call the “Great wars.” Our decision today was to answer the call for aid. We have not chosen to join any side or agree to the overall goals. We came to support those who have supported us in the past. Our allies know us well. We will not shirk from those that have helped us. The time may come when such a decision is required however that time is not now. Woe be to those who seek to put words in our mouths. We continue to build and protect Providence. Out of that has grown an eternal spirit. The spirit of a people dedicated to something more.

As a Minmatar, albeit one whose guilty secret is that he likes armor-tanked laser boats, I am opposed to CVA on religious grounds (in that I would like to Jihad them into oblivion). But, I must grudgingly respect and support their position to for once use their powers for good, rather than evil. I won't say "Go CVA!", but I will say "nice first step, may you get lots of kills". Enjoy. |

Its quite amusing how many people underestimate CVA and then regret it after fighting against them.
Best of luck to you, and i'll see you on the battlefield.
Hey Gnarr, and last time I checked RA, Goons and AAA were all still KOS to CVA. Unless they have all decided to go NRDS I dont see that changing for the little issue of politics. We are Amarr, Providence comes first, and we stick to our goal of bringing civilisation to the latest Amarrian Province. |

I don't know if CVA have experience dealing with Titans, so perhaps get some advice from IAC before lossing your first big fleet to it. |

I just love how most people underestimate CVA, except those few roleplayers in Exuro Mortis who have flown with/against CVA in the past. It feels strange to say, but welcome to the winning side CVA . |

Firstly, and straight off the bat, anyone thinking that CVA are a damp squib of a force, welcome to getting your ass handed to you.
CVA know how to fight, they're well versed in fleet warfare and they have the isk to keep up a sustained fight. Thanks to having avoided the conflict to date they have been able to set themselves up with a huge fortified position in the middle of Providence they are now in a great position to assist IAC and friends.
However, the utter double standard of this declaration astounds me. Do CVA honestly expect people not to remember that CVA derided U'K for intentionally involving themselves in the greater conflict? Do they expect people to forget that they said their NAP with IAC was limited for only the most desperate of measures and only if one force was facing total destruction?
CVA had a nice little sandbox, the benefits of Providence to newer players, the NRDS nature of the region were a benefit to those wetting their feet in 0.0. Now they've chosen to ruin this before it was necessary to. They cite rumours and speculation but give no credible backing.
Either this is CVA admiting that their ties with IAC are deeper or it is IAC admiting that they fear extinction.
Either way, i have to say its a balsy move for CVA and it definitely strengthens IAC and co. Let the grand war role on :) |
