CCP, are there any updates on forum moderation and specially Aurora?

I personally am not a roleplayer, but: I think that we need MORE CCP/Aurora-provided RP and not less (or nothing). I think that we should notice MORE RP ingame and not less.

And I think Eve really needs volunteers and lots of. They are keeping Eve alive. The day where CCP closes ISD will be the beginning of the end of Eve.

I am sad, upset and a little angry.

However; Your spirits will certainly live on in myself, I am a mod on a board or two, the eve-o volunteer spirit will not die.

I have just one question, will the avatars die aswell or will the people be allowed to keep them and show up in small events/on occasion to remind us of how life used to be, albeit with reduced/no admin rights etc?

Nonetheless I salute you all, I cried, I laughed, I sprayed coffee all over my work computer repeatedly... LaughingWink

EDIT;Heh, I have just realised how prophetic my sig actually is after writing this... Neutral

Given the observable bias of the Forum Moderators and since they're being phased out, I was wondering if there would a removel of bans, warnings, etc. handed out during this period?

I think most people can ultimately agree there were some very questionable decisions rendered during the life of the forums and I accept CCP's moving moderator in house as a general nod towards these unfavourable practices.

So, will people be given a fresh start with an unbiased and accountable moderation team?

Observable bias?

Do you still dont get that we are watched closely by CCP? You really can stop to accuse my team of being biased. You either have proof and forward it to the internal affairs department or you dont.

Accountable? We are fully accountable for our actions, with actions taken against our player accounts if we screw up. Like Eshtir said, you have proof or you dont. Stop posting crap (that's me being polite)

Also remember that our ultimate leads were kieron and wrangler both employees of ccp and they had a global picture of all our work.

Every action we take as moderators on our volunteer accounts is trackable and we are held to account for our actions. I wouldn't be surprised if CCP keeps an eye on our main player accounts as well.

As volunteers we don't always catch everything, and as humans, we're not perfect, but bias? No.

If you believe there is evidence of malfeasance by a forum moderator or moderators, you should email internalaffairs@ccpgames.com so they can investigate it.

Do you realize we always consulted with our forum moderator peers before we did things? In those channels were GMs, leads from other division and our own leads.

If you think there was any bias you could have always email internalaffairs@ccpgames.com, but apparently you would rather come to the forums and whine about no-existant bias.

As you are all here answering questions. Were/are you allowed to moderate threads that involve your respective corps/alliances?

Nope, they can't mod any thread involving their main's alliance or corp. If they do the lead/senior moderators find out and the mod in question either gets a really good spanking or gets kicked out of CRC.

-- Regardless, this is the end of the line for such questions. This isn't the place to discuss CRC policies. If you have questions, email us mods@ccpgames.com

The Mods in the CAOD Forum did a fine job in the past. Not that I agreed with all of their decisions, but overall there performance was quite good.

That brings me to point of the post, because if one place really needs close attention of moderators than its CAOD. Right now this place is a shame for the whole EVE community.

It seems the cats have already left or are on their way out and to say that the mice are dancing, would be a to mild description for what is happening there.ugh

What will happen to events?

Have been patiently waiting to join AURORA since I started playing, finally eligible a couple months ago, bit of a letdown to discover it's being terminated Sad

Pull your pants up and give some moderation back to the forums. The changes sound dandy but you're hanging your community out to dry at the moment. The whole forum is a sewer at the moment.
