So, I just had a look at the year graph of the Mackinaw sales (in Sinq Laison in this case)... The Macks started out around 110 million isk one year ago...went slightly down in the next months with a low of around 85 million and from there went up again to over 130 million... The yearly average of the Mack is around 100 Million ISK with a rising tendency... So even when you don't take the current prices into account but only the yearly average of 100 million ISK per ship...the yearly profit is still around 60 Billion ISK!!!

You have to take invention into consideration, and what TODAYS sell price is worth (and how much demand there is for the item).. This is still an excellent bpo and it surprises me you havent had any offers well above your starting price yet... I would offer up 50b if I had it ;)..
DayVV4lkEr Liga Freier Terraner Executive Outcomes	Posted - 2007.07.25 20:13:00 - [8] TBH i think the BPO is well worth the 90 b atm BUT getting such a BPO is involved with a lot of risk since Invention and if the only reason would be that you never know what CCP will do with Datacore Drop-Rates. TBH i'm well interested in that BPO myself i just don't know if i'm willing to take such a Risk, but i'm pretty sure you will be able to find someone that is. You should at least not take such dumb advise like the one you got told with the average price! It is all about risk nowadays and less about real profit. Everyone wants to get more money and your BPO is a good oppertunity for it and everyone has to decide for himself how much risk the way he takes is worth. Friendly Bump :)

That what people would look at when considering such a risky investment. The last one on 7/3/2007 sold for 43.5B ISK [ Proof] There is much risk when investing into such a non-combat item, as opposed too investing into a HAC which is in constant demand as they die in combat so often. Not trying too troll your auction, just saying that aiming for that 60-70b mark for any investor would be iffy; but if any said investors pockets were that thick and would like the thrill too invest into such a great mining rig, I would strongly suggest too! Build Time x Run Needed to Profit = Total Days / 1 Year = Years 1.4754 x 589 = 869.0106 / 365 = 2.38 Years.. Even Selling the Ships @ 200mil Per it would still take over Year for you to make back your 50 Billion. Now for the offer I saw for 20 Billion Selling ships @ 100mil per. Just Over 1 Year (399.8334 Days) 20 Billion = Mackinaw BPO

The only reason i didn't bid on it is that CCP mentioned to release a Mining Carrier and i bought a Modulated Deep Core Miner II BPO back when they were good (and i took the full price crash). The BPO is simply to risky for me altough it is ATM worth quite a lot of money.

They have to concider that the bpo is a "fixed cost" and the materials needed to build it are the only thing actually needing to be paid. Ex: BPO 40bil Materials to get started: 10 bil Most are only basing their calculation on the need to cover the entire sum of isk(50bil) instead of acutally only having only to cover the 10 bil and then begin to make profit.
