If you believe there's something bad happening, you're always welcome to contact Internal Affairs. We're looking into quite a few forum badge changes right now. |

they arent devs though so why do they have a dev tag? its just confusing for people who havent been around for a long time.
i doubt your a dev either wrangler seeing as you only used to be a forum mod i wouldnt imagine you have any coding skills at all that are useful when developing a game.
why doesnt whoever is in charge of the website make up some different titles? theres a huge difference between someone who is actually a DEVeloper and someone who is just a member of staff |

The thing is, not everyone speaks/writes good english. So sometimes it will look like someone is thick-headed or really naive in his questionning the game. But anyhow you look at it, forums are like heated debate, only everyone gets to say something. Not just the loudest. |

Were you capable of reading, sock puppet, you'd note his sig clearly states that he's a community manager. Dependant upon the company, that either translates to a glorified forum moderator or the poor sod that gets to be the go-between for us and the devteam. Either way, what do you care? He's an employee of CCP so his words count as being (something not entirely unlike) official company statements, warranting gold bars. EVE-TV hosts... that's another story, but this thread's already reaching a critical mass of fail. No need to hash back over it. |

I'm interested in your thoughts and research on the critical mass of fail and how it affects the discursive argumentative flow of the Eve Online forums. |

You sir are wrong. This is a a manufacturing game, just as much as its a mining game, a trader game, a PVP game or a PVE game. Its a game without boundries and a game that each player if free to choose which direction he follows.
If manufacturing or mining was not required then all items would be available on the market, pre built and ready to rock and roll. This would include all ships, ammo, mods, ice production etc.
There would be no concept of minerals, no roid belts to mine, no ice to harvest and no need for salvage or invetion.
Without manufacturing there would be no need for POS except for defence, titans would be available on the Jita market and life would be much simpler. Du;; but simple.
The builders/miners keep this game going, without us you would have nothing to shoot and nothing to shoot it with. Without the PVP we would not have any buyers. So you keep shooting the **** and we will keep building the **** and thats the way of Eve.
Have fun
YOU have ALSO missed the point of what I was saying..... Know what? I dont care lol... 9 days and counting... |

*shrug* I really don't care about moral superiority in situations like these. Fighting fire with fire and stuff like that. Actually, I don't give a rat's ass about moral superiority in general. "Moral superiority" is something akin to "well, you know, I'm not right, but still, I'm a nice guy and all that, so read my stuff". Which is at best pathetic, at worst just laughable. I'd rather be a pain in the ass and right than overly polite and wrong, if I'd have to chose. Of course, if the situation doesn't "ask for it" (the PITA part), then it's usually "polite and right" (to preempt the fallout in cases when I'm not actually right... afterall, I'm merely human too). Back to the issue at hand. Other than ISD (which are NOT CCP employees, but merely volunteers, as in "they work for free after signing an NDA and other papers"), there's no other forum "tag" differentiation. EVERY CCP employee has that "DEV Team" logo and grants golden bars on threads it posts in... regardless of how much of a "developer" he is. "Dev team" simply means "CCP employee", nothing more, nothing less.Going ballistic that some CCP employee has a "dev team" tagging because you don't understand what that means, and then going on about the "need" to create different forum "CCP ranks" for non-core-team-devs CCP employees (but only after being shown wrong by a "Dev team" who coincidentally ISN'T even a "true Dev" at all)... the sheer absurdity and uselessness of the entire thread, it angers me to no end. Not necessarily because of the actual thread contents, but of the thread style (taking a non-issue and turning it into one) and "quality" of writing (or, rather said, lack thereof). |

Well according to thermodynamics, as the number of posts containing fail increase, so too must the rate of posts flaming said failure. The currently accepted theory is that if a thread were to possess incredible quantities of fail, the flames would become self-propagating, the end result of which would become... Threadnaught. |

Xyliana has no Dev 'Powers' the account is to make clear official EVETV anouncements and teh title states that. If you really think that she now can also spawn isk, and /heal0 the ennemy titan then you are gravely mistaken.
Outside teh gold bars on teh forum there will be no diffrence on that character from say, your own alt, it weven might be so that the account cant even train any skill at all.

your calculation is flawed my friend , you completely forgot to take into account one very important variable fanboy-itus. it seems to be forcing certain posts to ignore all logic resulting in much head bash keyboard |
