hello ppl,

yeah, I just blew 80k lp and 80 mill on a

"consul" PPB-2 implant

slot 7

gives negiotationbonus of 5.

but yeah.... when I plugged it in... did show info on my agents again..

there is NO Difference to effective quality...

so yeah, I cleared my cache, waited for DT.

and this morning, nada.. no change, same as before..

anyone else experienced this? or is there something I am missing...?

Skill at agent negotiation. Improves agent effective quality. 5% additional pay per skill level for agent missions.

I think that implant only improves the amount of isk you get no?

I am pretty sure it affected effective quality....

which determines the amount of isk you get... so.. yeah..

edit: yeah, still no change in effective quality, which is calculated with the bonus to negiotation... which lead to better pay..

A petition a corp mate filed almost a month ago asking about another new expensive hardwiring, what it's bonuses were (because it does not say), and if it was actually working or not was recently answered with something similar to the following:

"I asked around but nobody here seems to know for sure. I am guessing it is XX% but cannot verify if it works or not"

So good luck getting an official answer, the GM's don't seem to know either.

Most new implants seem to be either still broken or have been broken when they were introduced.
I don't see any of them listed as "fixed" in the upcoming patch, so... oh, well.

I found out about this at the end of last week - I'm looking into it but unlike the other implants it's unfortunately not a trivial fix Sad

Bravo!

I'm at home right now so I can't get on the defect tracker and see exactly what's been fixed since the last content update, but off the top of my head the only ones properly broken right now are the warp speed ones and the social ones.

The warp speed one was a fairly trivial mistake - I specified warpSpeedBonus when I should've specified WarpSBonus. The social one, however, should in theory work - it has exactly the same defined mechanics as the Social skill (which works fine), it just... doesn't do anything, regardless of the combination of Skill and Implant used. I'm going to try and find a programmer to talk to on Monday to see if there's anything special about the Social skill that I'm missing.

While we are on implants... the invention implants.

The 'draftsman' GI- series of invention implants is the only one that appears to actually be in the game (the MI-, AI-, and CI- are in the database). In this last patch CCP added contract lookup support for the MI-, AI-, and CI- implants but left the GI- series out.

Is there a reason 1 line is in with no contract support and 3 lines are not available but do have contract support?

Will these implants ever be given attributes so we know what in the world they affect and by how much?

Yes please, can we have answer on this.. It is unsettling that the GM's don't have this information, yet they are the ones who we are expected to turn to for information or when we have problems.

You can't expect a GM to know everything.
But they at least should be able to find out details like these in a foreseeable time.

Didn't QA test this properly or what?

And the Beancounter implants still aren't on the market.

Update: some of the social skills aren't functioning the way they seem like they should, which is why the related implants aren't working. This looks like it'll need a code fix; I'm just trying to pin down exactly what's broken and what changes need to be made

Why would you blow 80 million isk and 80000 lp for getting 5% more pay from the agent? You know how long it will take for you to make that money back? Laughing

But at least you found a bug doing it. Razz

Run lvl4 Angel Extravaganza 3 times and you're in the black on ISK at least.

12-15 lvl4 missions wil give you back the LP if your connections skills are good.

That cost is pretty trivial.

Its just that the reward is maybe a few million. 5% extra reward is like 100k more if you would get 2 mill in reward before it.

So... 80 mill / 100k = 800 missions before you go even again (isk wise).

Or am I missing something?

Only 3200 missions or so. Shocked

Laughing

but it is good to see that CCP is right on top of this so that you can get started on all those missions. Wink

Edit - here is the math that I base my estimation on:
80k LP = 80M ISK
total value of the implant = 160M
approx agent rewards for a lvl 4 mission = 1M
increased reward per mission due to implant = 50K
160M / 50K = 3200 missions
