Found this at another forum i lurk at, just had to post it Laughing

Quote:
How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?
1 to change the light bulb
1 to post that the light bulb has been changed
14 to share similar experiences of changing light bulbs and how the light bulb could have been changed differently
7 to caution about the dangers of changing light bulbs
27 to point out spelling/grammar errors in posts about changing light bulbs
53 to flame the spell checkers
6 to argue over whether it's "lightbulb" or "light bulb" (MS Word does not recognize lightbulb)
... another 6 to condemn those 6 as anal-retentive
2 industry professionals to inform the group that the proper term is "lamp"
15 know-it-alls who claim they were in the industry, and that "light bulb" is perfectly correct
156 to email the participant's ISPs complaining that they are in violation of their "acceptable use policy"
109 to post that this forum is not about light bulbs and to please take this discussion to a lightbulb forum
203 to demand that cross posting to hardware forum, off-topic forum, and lightbulb forum about changing light bulbs be stopped
111 to defend the posting to this forum saying that we all use light bulbs and therefore the posts are relevant to this forum
306 to debate which method of changing light bulbs is superior, where to buy the best light bulbs, what brand of light bulbs work best for this technique and what brands are faulty
27 to post URL's where one can see examples of different light bulbs
14 to post that the URL's were posted incorrectly and then post the corrected URL's
3 to post about links they found from the URL's that are relevant to this group which makes light bulbs relevant to this group
33 to link all posts to date, quote them in their entirety including all headers and signatures, and add "Me too"
12 to post to the group that they will no longer post because they cannot handle the light bulb controversy
19 to quote the "Me too's" to say "Me three"
4 to suggest that posters request the light bulb FAQ
44 to ask what is a "FAQ"
4 to say "didn't we go through this already a short time ago?"
143 to say "do a Google search on light bulbs before posting questions about light bulbs"
1 new forum member to respond to the original post 6 months from now and start it all over again

Can't tell, when the lights go on they scatter.

This thread should now be used for the discussion of lightbulbs.

I use IKEA brand compact flourescent bulbs. They're cool because they have a frosted outer layer that makes them look sorta like regular bulbs and keeps them from getting super hot. Took this pic a long time ago

Add this...

One person to say first
Three more people to say first, of which 2 re-edit their posts saying something along the lines of "meh"
56 people saying "posting in an epic thread"
72 people linking that dramatic-looking gerbil video from youtube
One person to relay the thread to a new forum - therefore restarting the whole process. Again.

I would add this:

35 people who post "/signed"
16 people who post that lightbulb stats on the test server got stealth nerfed
6 people posting memories from beta when candles were all there was
52 people posting that lightbulbs were in the beta item database just not "live" and that candles were a stopgap solution
1 person who tries to start a "light up EVE!" ascii-lightbulb-in-your-bio meme
24 people who claim that anyone who uses lightbulbs is a noob and that neon is the only sensible thing to fit
64 people demanding a dev response to this critical, game-stopping issue

And then I'll add:
1 GM to make an already long list even longer
23.6 random people to quote said GM, possibly wondering about their petitions
2 Devs on a coffee break informing everyone they're discussing solutions to the problem of changing a lightbulb( or light bulb whatever you like)
any number of people complaining about me quoting a GM post

Funny how some people seem to expect GM's to spend 23 hours a day, 7 days a week answering petitions. Neutral Far as I know, they work shifts and are even (shock!) given days off and time to eat and sleep. And even if they are at work, taking five minutes to post to the forums shouldn't be something you get lambasted by the community for.

Dark Shikari would hold the lightbulb and wait for the forums to revolve around him.
Sir Molle would come along and proclaim that there is no lightbulb.
The Dev's would then install a T2 lightbulb and give the BPO to BoB.
Goonswarm would scream HAXploit and unleach the threadnaught.
All the empire noobs would threaten to cancel their subscriptions.

For the love of EVE, don't change the lightbulb.

462 to whine because another member offered to change the light bulb for them, and then ran off with the light bulb.

15 early-adopters to whine that they trained the various Level 5s needed to change the light bulb, only to have all the requirements drop to Level 4 or lower when it is actually implemented.

8 to whine because lofty offered to help them change the light bulb, but then promptly shot them and took the surviving light bulbs.

Has the light bulb been seen at a gate using templars, and does it have a good tank?
