Ok..My problem is that 80% of all planets, moons are very strange looking..they dont look like planets they have stripes..lets just say they look like Christmas tree ornements. Has anyone els had this problem? |

Several planets in our own solar system have stripes. I'm not convinced about the fluffy clouds that are round some of the EVE ones though. I would expect more rings, like those seen around Saturn and Uranus.
But then we only live in one system, and there are billions out there. So who are we to say what is prototypical or not? |

I'd assumed the 'clouds' were the remains of moons 'recently' blown apart.
I have a feeling the original poster meant something else though. Care to put a screenshot up somewhere to show what you're on about ?

i dont mean "Rings" i mean stripes they look like the planet is rapped with ribbons theese ribbons are like a mirrior of the surrounding space...parts of a station will reflect off theese Stripes..it has to be a graphical glitch..because i know theya re not Planetary rings. |

I like the gas clouds, but I remember reading about the introduction of rings, and there is a video demonstrating it in the downloads section.
Re. your gfx problem, have you overclocked your computer or gfx card? I also remember someone mentioning this ages ago! If so, try without. If not, no idea! |

I have the same problem. I'm pretty sure its not intentional.
It looks like the texture that should be all over the planet/moon is squished hard into a couple of thin bands around the sphere.
I'll try and see if I can figure out how to do a screenshot later - only had the game for 2 hours ;)
But i'm 99% sure its a texture bug of some kind.
