The topic of tea was raised this evening in the 'celes public' channel. Being a votary of tea drinking I was forced to defend my faith when my idling cohorts began to mock my healthy infatuation with the stuff.

My housemate insists I couldn't live without the golden liquid and I'm inclined to agree!

Who else loves tea almost as much as life itself? Don't be shy now.

Ill restate my story.

A bunch of mates came round for a pre outing beer. Upon turning up and asking what they wanted to drink, they all answered tea.

I told them to make their own ****ing tea and got a beer.

Tea is suitable for mornings and with a fat bastard fryup, also maybe perhaps when your freezing your nips off.

We have also established that welsh is crap at making tea and Salek is actually very good. However, Salek is not a big tea drinker, much to the dismay of welsh.

(For those of you that dont know they live together. Whether or not they are a couple is of course open for debate)

Destroy your fine bone china, remove the plug sockets from the kettle, let this be your quest to stop him from drinking his holy tea!

Tea truly is the greatest substance ever devised by anyone, ever. I enjoy a pint of bitter as much as the next man, but if I had to choose between a life without alcohol or a life without tea, there'd be no contest.

Black tea, green tea, earl grey, lady grey, spiced chai, fruit infusion, herbal tea... I love it all Very Happy

Except lapsang souchong. That stuffs evil...

Well, it's got to be a strong cuppa.

Nothing worse than someone who makes a cup by waving a teabag near the cup!

I've got some of these teabags, fr a propper cuppa, as I live in a hard water area.

tea is ok but i cant drink it all the time i need something cold to drink. Also Tea is bad for you because it contains caffine, maybe not as much as coffee but it still has it so in large doses it might give you the shakes.

Yorkshire Tea (the Hard Water stuff especially) is pure brilliant, it has to be said. Close runner up is Twinings Everyday, when I'm not in my hard-water home.

And lay off my fruit infusions- I've got a lemon tea right now thats killing the cold I've got stone dead, I'll have you know Razz

I drink Taiwanese High Mountain Oolong. It's a little pricy to import, but 'cheap' if someone just brings some back with them.

Tea drinking is seriously addictive after you've found the really good stuff.

Red_tea is lovely too. But a nice strong mug of regular tea (1 sugar) is great.

I have tried all sorts of coffees over the years convinced I must be missing out on something but they all taste like the devils spit to me.

Making tea the GM Voodoo way: Take mug. Put in teabag. Add boiling water. Let steep. Let steep some more. Add the teabag from the mug of tea you are making for guest. Let both bags steep. Remove bags, add milk, two sugars. Bliss. I bribe people to bring me Tetley's from the UK...
