Yeah, I noticed that too.
It seems to treat the wrecks as ships. You do see wrecks of other (neutral/hostile) people, but wrecks of gang members/friendlies or corp mates don't appear on the overview as long as you have "pilot has good standing", "pilot has high standing" or "pilot is in gang" unchecked.
