Edited by: Viia Lori on 02/06/2007 08:57:45What did they have to say? Aren't they the ISP CCP are thinking of moving to? *edit* Just emailed them, I suggest we all do the same if this is going to be resolved any time soon. |

I am in West Yorkshire and am also having the same issues here. Have had no connection to either TQ or the website since yesterday afternoon. I'm getting exactly the same dead node as the other posts in this thread:
8 26 ms 33 ms 27 ms tge5-4.fr1.lon.llnw.net [195.66.224.133]
Have emailed Virgin with details of tracerts and the node that's down but had no response and they have no ticket on their support page for this issue.
Am also emailing LimeLightNetworks now will let you know if I get a response. |

Thank god, I thought it was me. I've managed to get onto the website via a third party proxy server, but I'm unable to get to the game server. 18hrs of missed skill training and counting Regards, Gil |

To be fair to Virgin, this isn't their issue as the problem router isn't under their control.
I have been a Telewest/Virgin customer for 4 years now and they have provided myself and everyone else I know who uses their network an almost flawless service. If you compare the amount of issues I have seen over those 4 years with any of the other non-cable broadband providers in the UK, they provide one of the best services I have ever seen in this country. |

Yeah, Telewest was great :P Virgin ADSL, and NTL's customer service sucks... and we have all been bundled together :( |

OK, here is another reply form Limelight Networks Support... and not what we were looking for... *Quote* This is not problem with Limelight but with the Eve Online server trace routes convey that ccp.ve201.fr3.lon.llnw.net was the final hop before it timed out so people assumed that the problem was with us. This switch ccp.ve201.fr3.lon.llnw.net is last hop on the trace route before reaching the Eve online server. -- Andre Jenkins Limelight Networks *End Quote* Grrrrrrrr, CCP, please acknowledge that you are even aware of this! |

Ok to all you virgin users i have a fix to get onto the webpage and secure pages on your main computer but still no luck with the eve client.
What you need to do is open up your internet explorer and go to tool/internet options/connection/ lan connection button
once in there at the bottom were the box is type in
webcache.blueyonder.co.uk
then hit ok and close down your net, this will allow you to access all secure webpages such as eve-online and ccpgames.com all the webpages i was having trouble with.
Im am looking for a fix for the client now.

Ok I also have a petition ongoing from last night under ID 657705. The last responce was for me to check with my ISP (Virgin).
I have responded asking the GM's to read this thread and copied snippets of info and responses from Limelight into the petition.
Can someone tell me how I run the trace on my own PC so I can confirm I drop at the same node please?

Edited by: Saul Dhampir on 02/06/2007 15:24:21 Ok worked it out. The odd thing that is bugging me is that my main PC can't connect, but if I unplug the eithernet cable and pug it into this laptop I can access this just fine. So I have just run a trace to eve from this laptop, this is the result:
Tracing route to www.eve-online.com [87.237.39.199] over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 9 ms 10 ms 8 ms 10.154.0.1 2 9 ms 10 ms 7 ms 62.30.241.39 3 22 ms 15 ms 14 ms 62.30.252.42 4 16 ms 18 ms 17 ms 194.117.136.166 5 201 ms 208 ms 183 ms 194.117.136.173 6 29 ms 28 ms 21 ms 194.117.136.146 7 26 ms 16 ms 23 ms tge5-4.fr1.lon.llnw.net [195.66.224.133] 8 16 ms 15 ms 16 ms ccp.ve201.fr3.lon.llnw.net [87.248.208.150] 9 14 ms 16 ms 17 ms 87.237.39.199
Trace complete.
Ill now go back onto the main PC and try it.

Edited by: Saul Dhampir on 02/06/2007 15:40:20 Ran the trace on my main PC:
Tracing route to www.eve-online.com [87.237.39.199] over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 8 ms 7 ms 7 ms 10.154.0.1 2 158 ms 18 ms 231 ms 62.30.241.38 3 17 ms 12 ms 15 ms 62.30.252.10 4 13 ms 15 ms 15 ms 194.117.136.166 5 50 ms 42 ms 161 ms tele2-gw4.telewest.net [194.117.136.197] 6 20 ms 14 ms 21 ms 194.117.136.161 7 36 ms 28 ms 31 ms tge5-4.fr1.lon.llnw.net [195.66.224.133] 8 * * * Request timed out.
As you can see it takes a differeing route. Don't know if this sheds any light on the problem.
Is there a way to make you PC follow a particular route? As the route followed by my Laptop get though without a hitch?
