I got a very unexpected response from this and as a result, the few that i created were passed round frantically and ended up on various killboards. As a result, i decided to go the full monty and just animate the lot, and save them in multiple formats for use on public killboards, along with some helpful code to implement them. you can visit PimpMyKillboard @ www.pimpmykillboard.co.nr. *NOTE* Redirect is currently down, use the direct link HERE in the meantime Criticism and feedback is much appreciated and sought after as if there is a good reponse frmo this project, i would like to continue on with it. EDIT - just like to add, thanks to calmdown and SHC for the hosting, and that i would like this added to the killboard resource thread if it still exists, mods. cheers. edit2 - and lets not forget #eve-online on coldfront. without them, i would not have been able to get a +av for shamelessly plugging how awesome they are in this thread. Very nice  - its now added to our resource sticky at the top of this forum - Deckardedit3 - why on earth does the title keep disappearing after every edit? fixed again.. |

These icons have already been implemented on the INFOD killboard, if people wish to see them "in action" so to speak. INFOD Killboard(hopefully the mods will let me off with linking to an external killboard this time, as its a "special" circumstance) |

Site updated, now featuring an EVEDEV formatted filename package for the 32x32 set. they are .png filenames but are still working anigifs. this is simply so you can just replace the existing files and be done with it, if you choose not to implement rollover code.
package was done by Eucalypta of INFOD.
EDIT AGAIN - im aware the link to the evedev format package was broken thanks to Fling royally buggering up. I've replaced it with a link hosted by eucalypta till i can fix mine. |

Wow, I love these icons, especially the large railgun and the afterburner. I do have one suggestion though. I don't think that autocannons should have muzzle recoil. If you look at the barrel, you can see holes for gases to escape. It might look cooler if you did an affect along these lines (of course not exactly like this, but you get the idea) : Muzzle Flash |

im well aware of it. however, most of these images were done from requests on SHC which is an entirley minmatar based forum so i had to squeeze out the artillery/autocannons before anything else.
there are a lot of icons im planning to update with stuff i picked up after i did them. changing the muzzle flashes on the auotcannons is one. i also plann to add expended shell casings flying out when i draw a good enough tiny casing and obviously improve the flashes. first things first though, i have to finish off the monstrosity that is the Target Painter cos eris asked me to do it. |
