on a side note - not even sure why i have a option for Production Efficiency - as it needs to be at lvl 5 to build any thing at this level...

That is really cool!
But,,, it seems to estimate high for me for some reason....
Basically,,, it takes me 8 armor plates and 8 of a couple other things.. but the calculator keeps showing 9. Oddly enough, the 52 Drone bays is accurate. =/
I have maxed out skills... and no matter how high I set the ME on the parts,, it does not seem to change anything.

Its nice...
One comment I have. It rounds the mineral costs, so pyr at 9.2 reads 9...trit at 2.45 reads 2.
Not a terrible issue but would be nice to add a few decimal places, for convince...

hmm ill drop the ceil() in the me calculations and put it at the end - strange that its only wrong for the CAP as it should be wrong by a higher percentage for the drone bay - strange. Originally by: Kaaii

it uses the decimals in the calulations - i just need to show the decimals - ill do that now. Rick |

A very nice tool.
In terms of practical use, I have some suggestions: - Components are larger than the minerals used to build them. So a calculation on m3 of raw minerals is interesting - Most people use "compression BPOs" use to move the minerals around - like small hull reps and passive targeters etc. etc. with ME300+. Would be interesting to see the m3 using these as well. Basically .. use as many SHR / PT as possible, then work out what minerals are left to transport. |

hmm, would these calculations be better on a per component basis or for the generic min cost for the ship (i guess i can do both but its verging on infomation overload as it is) |

I think I've found a bug in the calculator. Looking at the numbers for a Chimera for example(with everything at ME0), it lists the total component count at 916, and this is incorrect. If you add up the component count by hand, it's only 131, it's almost like the total count is getting multiplied by 7 or something. |

Edited by: Ricky Baby on 16/05/2007 12:05:42 right, component values "should" be right, had an issue with my ME calc system returning values to a decimal and thwowing the system off (ie you can't use 0.4 capital armour plates ...) so ive forced it to round up (so should match the quote from eve).
as for the total component count, yes is was multiplied by 7 :), it added the number of components to the total for each mineral rather than just once. sorted now. |

I think you´ve used a wrong amount of minerals at the Capital Launcher Hardpoint. The real costs of this part are about 4 times higher. |

not forgotten it, just rewriting it,
gonna see if i can get the Data from the CCP datadump to make sure the values are correct
main thing is does anybody use this in a non modern broweser? (ie IGB or non Javascript-enabled browsers)
gonna add the rorqual, but not the t2 freighters - thats t2 production which is another system.
Rick
p.s. also if there is and error can you evemail me how exactly you get to it and how much its out. |
