Today we put up a new mirror on Singularity, which we needed for upcoming patch testing. I know that some of you have been working hard to build motherships and titans on the test server and I can imagine how frustrating it must be to see all your work gone.
Therefore I will help you however I can to regain at least part of that lost time. No database h4xes, though. =P
You can contact me either on IRC on #eve-chaos, or ingame on the test server.
Please don't abuse this, my time is limited as it is. |

A very kind gesture indeed, especialy as most would realize that there was a chance of this happening anyway.
Myself, I was considering building a Nyx just to test a few things out, but was only in the early stages. |

Would it be possible to undock from a station in a mothership/titan if they were seeded on the market.
For peops who just wanna test out a ship its a lot of hassle to go to to have to build it first on a test server. |

Random Caldari - Motherships and Titans are not seeded on the market on Sisi.
Some players asked why we can't spawn ships directly and I'll explain why not.
First, this is intended to help people who already started the supercapital building process on the old Singularity mirror. It would be a *lot* of hassle to go and check the old database and see if players who say "My Nyx had 3 days left to completion when the new mirror was put on Sisi" are actually telling the truth. I am only helping to speed up the process of installing the manufacturing jobs; this way players will have somehow equal chances to build supercapitals on the current mirror, regardless if they had started building them on the previous mirror or not. They will still have to wait for a few weeks for the manufacturing jobs to complete. This will lessen the risk of people abusing this and using MS's and Titans to grief other players and make nice explosions.
Second, some players want to test the building process itself, that's why I'm not going to mess with the database and introduce factors that might falsify the results. What I do is nothing more than what is usually done by "regular" players, only I can do it faster.
Third, more or less randomly spawning supercapitals for whoever comes and ask is not a good idea for anyone. If people really want to test these things and not just fool around with big guns... well, they have to put some effort into it.
Now, for people who cannot come on IRC, there is a channel ingame on the test server, called "Supercapitals". I am there most of the time, so feel free to join. |
