I have been training up to fly an Amarr Indy, and these are the two choices,

Why would anyone EVER fly a Sigil?

Both ships require Amarr Industrial 1,
The Bestower has a higher starting cargo volume,
The Sigil has 1 extra loslot, but i cannot find a combination of skills or expanders whereby it is bigger than the bestower,
The only "advantage" to the Sigil is its speed... although now we have Warp to 0km thats a non starter.

I really wanted to fly the Sigil because it looks great, but I would be shooting myself in the foot and wasting my ISK on a lame ship.

Does anyone fly it? If so what are its benifits?

If noone flys it, It really needs a boost,

oh hold on, its not a combat ship forget that then.

the advantage of the sigil is it dosent look like you're flying a whale with it's fins and tail cut off

i suggest swapping the stats of the sigil and the bestower around and deleating the bestower from the database only good things will come from this idea

I use the Sigil exclusively where I don't need the additional cargo space of the Bestower...it can turn on a dime and leap into warp like a frigate with the right fitting. Especially handy in low sec space, too. Sigil is an awesome little industrial for small haul jobs.

agility? afk'ing? loot collecting?
extra speed and agility on the sigil are still useful

I have on my Sigil, 3 Nanos and 2 iStabs, add a 10mn afterburner and it gets up to 800+m/s fine. Add a couple of Cap rechargers to keep it going, then in the highs, salvager and tractor beams. Brillant to fly and people really hat it when you overtake then in it.

As for the Bestower, 4 cargo expanders, then fit a fairly decent shield tank, as well the slots are there and you have the fitting space, might as well make the most of them, then highs either the same as the Sigil or a Medium Beam Laser if your picking stuff up and a rat comes to play.

I'm quite happy with both of the ships as they are and have uses for both of them.

I came to this thread expecting discussion on what ship would win in 1 vs 1 PVP. Dam Crying or Very sad

Ironically probably a Sigil,

the extra lo, speed and agility are useful here.

Sigil is faster, way more agile - great for low sec cargo hauling or afk hauling through empire for small loads.

Fit it with istabs and nanos and it flies, aligns like a frig.

Before salvaging came in it was the best lvl 4 loot collector in the game.

Since the skills required for the sigil and bestower are identical, both are available with amarr industrial 1, and they have two completely different uses I really can't see what you're complaining about.

It depends on what you want from and Industrial ship, really ...

Like others have said above me, the Sigil has a better speed and agility ... with 5 Nanofibers I and a 10 MN AB II on mine, I can reach 930 m/s AND align/warp as fast as a frigate ... for small hauls that need to be quick, it's ideal.

On the other hand, the Bestower is slower, less agile, but can embark more cargo.

Each has its uses, you won't be shooting yourself in the foot if you use a Sigil for "relatively small hauls", but if you want to move huge quantities of stuff, a Bestower would be better (even better, an Iteron V, but that's another skill tree).
