Hi.
I heard from other people that got it, that the offer for a special connections skillbook offer [military connections, etc] from an agent when you reach 15k LP is chance based [eg. you need to be lucky to get it]

Is it true? Or maby agents from certain divisions give out these skillbooks?

I've been sitting with 15k LP at a surveillance agent for 2 days now and no offer yet.

Thanks

Bah. Two days? Try two weeks before you start to complain. I was getting the 18k and 20k offers before one agent decided to offer me one of the skillbooks.

Complain? Who's complaining?
I was just noticing.
For the record the agent was offering me something everyday, until now.

What division was the agent that offered you the book?
Thanks.

WHAT book you get is based of the division of the agent. Every division is represented by two books, each covering multiple divisions. Military Connections for example cover Command, Security and several others. That means you can get Political and Military connections from said two as well, since they both are covered by those.

I've gotten 5 of the 7 kinds of connections skills so far, and I've sold multiple books. The offer is at 15k, +10 Million ISK. It's rarer than the other offer at 15k which is the +3 implants, but you do get it sometimes if you are stubborn. If you have rejected an offer, be sure to do another mission otherwise you wont get any more offers.

Thanks for replying.
The main thing is, i don't want to get too many LP because the agent might offer something else...

I've done a couple of missions for him after declining the offer, but didn't get an offer yet.

Guess I'll just make another mission and then work for another agent and wait to see how long it will take him to make the offer Smile

Yes, the books come at 15K lp. You can still get them even if your lp is about 20K at the most. After that and you will start getting the higher lp offers instead.

The sweet spot for me has been between 16K and 18K lp.

Remember that if you are sitting on lp's, when you get an offer that is not a book (If that is your target) you must do another mission for that agent or he will never contact you again.

If you are unlucky and do not get your book, accept an offer that is decent, and work up the lp again. It's the only way.

What book you get is determined by the agent's division. You will get 1 of the two books they are affected by.

Surveillance for example has a chance of military and high-tech connections. You won't get the others with that agent.

Got the Political Connection again last night from my side agent. 15k and 10m isk, sold for 40.3M isk as soon as I got it.

One of the better offers below the faction BS one. (Security division)

I've had one of those books at 29875 LPs ... since they don't exist in "multiples version", I'd say that you have a slight chance of getting it from 15000 LPs to 29999 LPs.

You realiez the money you lost waiting for the offer offset the profit you got from the offer?

Why? He can just work on another agent up to 15k in the meantime.

Ok, so it's a given that these skill books are given in the 15k - 20k range... but on what level agents? Only lvl 4 or can you get them on lower level agents as well?Question

There's no "level of agent" for rewards. Theoretically you could get a level 1 agent to offer you a Navy battleship; it'd just take eons, since you still need the 600k LP and he's only handing out 10-30 at a time. ;p

The advantage of the higher-level agents in this respect is that you get the LP in much bigger chunks. 15k LP represents a huge amount of time at level 1 and level 2, but at level 3 it's only a couple days of solid mission running.

so it is 600k LP now? which one is it the ship or bpc and is it all LP or isk as well. Got 3 agents all at 360k - 390k and was banking on the 400k LP BS offer.

lvl 1 - 15k LP = forever
lvl 4 - 15k LP = 2 missions

That said, if your goal is one of the 15k SP offers, than one should seriously consider an L3 agent - while it takes a while to get to 15k, you stay in the "sweet spot" to get the offer for a greater number of offers. (Since every time you get another offer you need to do a mission.)

Another option (probably better) is L4 couriers. Low SP/mission but the missions are SHORT. I've sometimes gotten 1k for moving a 0.5 m^3 object two jumps. (Very easy in a ceptor with istabs. :) )
