I'm sure there's a reason for this but I can't think of one. It just stands to reason if everyone is upset with BoB, feels they're using cheap tactics and aren't really playing fair, and generally ticking off the rest of the players, couldn't an uber-alliance do something about it? Every other alliance in the game drops their existing wars and coordinates to take BoB apart. Blow up their stations, take their systems, gank their pilots wherever they appear, etc. Something like that should tear apart BoB in short order. Then the uber-alliance would fall apart due to people seeking advantage over the former territories of BoB, bobbites would go and create new corps and join the existing alliances, and things would remain dramatic.
So, this hasn't happened. There's probably a reason for it. What's the story, politics and ego? |

We'd(I would anyway) like to... but they'd just get away with everything and probably come out on top... Not to name any reasons of course. |

Indeed m8, indeed. I'm curious about this myself. There is tons and tons of whining about their cheating on these forums, yet most of the people whining (not all by any means) aren't doing anything about it but whining. If everyone is so upset, take action. If you're unsure what to do, contact the CEOs of the bigger alliances involved. D2, Curse, GoonFleet, etc etc and see if you can't join in their fight. I'm sure they'd be happy to accept dedicated assistance. Originally by: Imechal Ravpeim We'd(I would anyway) like to... but they'd just get away with everything and probably come out on top... Contacting Goons and Curse will do them no good, theyre attacking LVs space not BoBs. They may be fighting BoB, but thats only because BoB choose to, not the other way around. |

Fighting in LV space is still helping in the fight against BoB. It's one in the same. |

Because in the end, it doesn't matter. If all the accusations against BoB are true (exploiting, cheating, Dev support) then many ppl just feel that it's a no-win situation, and in the end, BoB has God-mode & I-win powers. Is this actually the case though? I hope not...but I'm starting to wonder...looking deeper, there seems to be a pattern that doesn't look too pleasant. Or maybe my tinfoil hat is too tight Only time will tell. |

I put bob as being the lesser of 2 evils in this match. GW was my home until V got overtaken by ragoon, so i also want to get back to my home system. BOB stays out of any space i work in, and If i do decide to go to bob space i can usually have a nice chat whilst possible gankers chase me down. You dont get that kind of experience if you are flying through space that ragoon is occupying. |

Bullshiat.. I'd join the fight in an instant if someone were to make an npc site to organise us to the point we would be able to help.. Lots of npc corps members follow the alliance action and wish we could make a diference without giving up our concord protection.. "Build it and they will come.." |

Well, I guess it is because the "coalition" are becoming all the things they claim to hate about BoB, and so people are equally put off by them. "The bobbsiesss are soo arrogantss, we hatsess themsss. We aren't arrogantss likess themss, and so we are betterss than themssesss..." Honestly, if they moaned less and did more, maybe people would want to join them. |

because it's wise to think what happends if coalition loses this match.. will Bob/LV revenge? And because this will be long expencive war and will drain massive funds from coalition or should i say rogue states.

A lot of the other alliances are mobilizing. It takes time to get your infrastructure in place, and some people are fighting the BoD proxy forces. These need to be tied down as well.
For example The Katet, Rule of Three, X-Pact, Invictus Coalition is fighting Fatal and Friends around YM- in the new regions. Fatal is friendly with BoD and has allowed DICE to operate a corporate hangar in YM-. The imminent collapse of Fatal earlier in the week has forced BoD to send MC to YM-, paving the road for AAA to invade Period Basis and attack MC's home bases.
The world is on fire.

Not everyone shows their hand at the beginning of the round....
The fight will spread more will enter into it.
I also would not discount the various NPC corps yet. Noone has yet mobilized them fully, but they could be a force that greatly changes things especially with the faction war coming later this year and possibly before the war ends.

Why dont all the others attack BoB...
Simple, why give them what they want?
BoB plays this game to PvP, if everyone declares against BoB then BoB gets lots and lots of targets without having to pay the war dec fee. Why give them that.
Also in all probability many alliances feel that there is no point, the rot is not gone and thus any attack on BoB will still not be on a level playing field so why bother, its enough for many that BoB can never again come here and claim superiority without being laughed out of the thread.
In reality I am suprised that BoB do not demand CCP to dig deeper, after all its their reputation that is shot to hell.
Did BoB "cheat"? I dont know, I dont care, just enforce the rules equally and I will be happy. |

Edited by: Nalia Telandar on 17/02/2007 10:55:00 I believe it is something like 1/5th of the game right now that is at war with Band of Brothers. I am a true newbie but the "event" has caused me to believe the rest of the game is on hold until the illegally obtained assets are destroyed and the benificiaries chastised and removed from power. I spent most of the last week keeping an eye on the forums, reading up on alliances, and generally trying to decide if/how I could help the process along.
I spoke with multiple people (sorry for the spam guys) in hopes of finding a way to contribute my weight towards the above goal. Most of the 0.0 corps are considered the elite corps, and right now are leery of letting in low-SP players (because of spies and whatnot) but I was finally able to find a small corp that was willing to look past this issue provided I accept limitations regarding voice chat and strategic information. I intend to help this small corporation by mining and giving them 90 or 95% of what I earn. So I guess you could say I'm going to throw my 300-500 million ISK/day through a 35 million SP killer right at the evil empire. It will likely take months for the fatigue of 14 hour days spent defending and the attrition of having 10 times their number swarming to bleed them dry, but I feel that I am doing the right thing by helping. After they are punished, I will get back to working out what I want to do with the game. :)
-Nalia
p.s. I would like to thank the anonymous person who finally offered me a chance to help. I owe you and I hope I can repay that chance quickly and efficiently. hehe. |

Jolly, open your map... go to settings... then look at players online and see where they are... then look at ships destroyed in the last 24 hours.. thats goon and friends vs LV and iron/razor/d2 down south killing bob/fix Most of eve is siding against bob, not because they are a threat, but because of the raw hatred a large portion of the community feels towards them. The biggest threat to the north is goon swarm... RAGOON or Redswarm are capable of fighting with their massive numbers.. bob tested the water and decided attacking wasnt the best idea.... But regardless of that... we're all working together to take BoB and their allies off the map. We'll see where it goes from there. Cold war or new found friendship? only time will tell on that. As far as im concerned seeing bob destroyed will bring us something akin to justice and should satiate most of the population. Bob devs aside they are a strong fighting force and the final battles particularly will be extremely mean. But I believe that good will prevail in this case and the evil Bob will be cast out Tick Tock Molleymolley |

Look at the corporation and alliance discussions and go into the 2 main titan posts. Look how many coalition pilots screamed that BOB must have exploited when they didnt have a clue how it was killed. Read it all and tell me that coalition pilots dont try to paint BoB as hackers and exploiters despite the truth. |

I never held too much love for BoB and that little comedy about t20 hasn't changed that for the better, but from my admittedly limited point of view alliances like RA, Goons, AAA etc pp are much much worse than BoB... |
