Just curious if anyone could explain the differance between Shield Relays and Recharges? From what I've read the relays slow cap recharge rate, and are more expensive. Recharges dont slow cap recharge and are alot cheaper. Is the shield recharge rate faster with the relays?

If your shield tanking then you'll want the mid slots for something else, hence the nice low slot cap relays :)

Shield Power Relays use low-slots whereas Shield Rechargers use mid-slots.

Shield Power Relays slow cap regen where as Shield Rechargers have no draw-back.

Both will reduce the max regen rate of your shields.

If you're passive tanking, you may end up using a mix of these. If you're not passive tanking, don't use either.

If you're passive tanking, read Pottsey's thread on passive shield tanking... it should answer MANY of your questions.

Shield relays give up to 24% better recharge and loss cap regen. But shield rechargers are only 15% without any cap problems.
