I hear scientists are not that far away from a major breakthrough in its development I do not understand why players of a game of this type do not understand the concept of Risk and Reward. It is a very simple concept--one based in reality. In order to get the things one wants in life, one takes risks every day: the bigger the risk, the bigger the reward. Why would role playing be devoid of that characteristic/concept?

Yes, some people may suggest that there are games where everyone "kinda" wins, but I rebute with that fact that everyone also "kinda" loses. By logging off when you're losing, you ruin someone elses fun. Take your own advice, please, remember that its a game, and being podded is just another experience. Nothing is ever permenant in EVE, unless you log off on a Dev's alt, than you get the banstick upside the head .

That includes so called 'codes of conducts' in any of those games be it football, tennis, golf, curling, scrabble, mortality :p break those codes, and you forfit the game, in eve, if you break the unwritten rules by cheating to avoid death, you lose only other players respect thus far. Maybe that will change, maybe in eve, like in other games, penalties will be incurred like your ship will no longer disappear. Whether or or not you choose to observe such codes, is your choice for now, but fairly soon there will be consequences if you do and you better be prepared for those.
