I'm 22. A couple weeks ago I got my hair trimmed and the lady cuttin my hair said "oh you have a scar back here?" I said "no..." she said "well theres a small round hairless spot back here..." and I just figured *grr she knicked me...* because thats what it felt like at the time.

I forgot about it and just kinda hid it until my hair grew enough to cover it up again *my hair grows fast, so only took about a week and a half* but I noticed theres no lil stuble... there is NO hair growing there... its a bald spot! Exclamation but I held out for a while in hopes that It was just growing slowly, because I coulda sworn I first felt stuble there when she had told me about it.

But a bit ago I was feelin to see if anythin had grown back, and it seems that its pretty much doubled in size and is now a freakin perfect square of hair gone Evil or Very Mad

Needless to say I'm going to call for an appointment with my doctor as soon as they are open, but does anyone have a clue wtf could be goin on :D.

I really dont think its just me going bald because:
1. I'm 22
2. I take after my dad, and he has a full head of hair.
3. It started in the back of my head
4. It started in the MIDDLE of the back of my head.
5. In around 5 weeks it doubled in size.

Evil or Very Mad
Ahh well, if it is me goin bald I'm gonna have to buy some hats...Laughing

Learn to wear a hat, that's what I did.

I'm 22 and I don't have bald spots yet, but I am thinning.

If you're worried about girls... If you wear a hat all the time, girls don't see it till it's too late. Cool

Seriously, I'm totally self conscious about it. I ALWAYS wear a hat. My pics are in my sig.

1. My grandpa was totally bald at 18. But he fought in WWII when he was 15. (IE: Stress)
2. Sorry to tell ya bud, comes out of your mom's genes.
3. That's where it starts for ALOT of ppl.
4. Exactly the spot where its starts for ALOT of ppl.
5. That sounds strange, but not uncommon.

People go bald differently.

This isn't me, but it's how I'm balding.

This is how you're balding. This one might scare yet. It's a regression chart. lol

Anyways, if it is the start of baldness, look on the bright side - Patrick Stewart (i.e. Captain you-know-who Wink) had the exact same condition and look how he made out in life.

Don't sweat it and adapt Cool.

I've been told that and for the record I'm not so heartless that I won't be in a heavy bout of depression should it actually be a tumor.

I'm actually going bald / thinning and am 22 as well Confused Sucks, but oh well.

I've already got an "electric cutter" and I don't mind the skinhead look, so I don't loathe it that much.

I have thick hair cept for that spot, and that spot just happend recently. Why didnt I notice it before? Because I had long hair Twisted Evil I've had hair down to my shoulders before I got it trimmed and thats when she said "oh you have a scar" So actually I have no clue when it got there but I know the last time I got my hair cut short it wasnt there... and I've never been stabbed in the back of my head as far as I know, but I did think about that being a possibility...

Well take solace in the fact that if you ever were stabbed in the back of the head... the chances of your remembering are slim to none.

but eh, dun matter if it is me going bald and no gonna grow back I'll have more reason to start working out again... I stopped and sat down in front of a computer around 5 years ago and now I'm a fattie Embarassed

(Dr. Terraform enter the room)

Let me add my professional opinion on this *cough*:

It actually sounds like a typical case of "boobheadus incuratus".

The symptoms start as a small bald spot on the middle on the head, then after about 2 months a pair of tiny nipples sprout from the bald spot, these nipples are very sensitive and sometimes ooze a white unknown substance.

After about 5 months the nipples have blossomed into a pair of well-sized boobs (C-cup). I strongly recommend draining your head from time to time when suffering from this "condition".

got milk? Laughing

I'm 17 and I have the exact same thing... I'm currently taking pills which are supposed to slow down or even stop the progress. It seems to haven't got any worse since I started taking those pills, and some people even have their hair regrown on the bald spots.

If you're worried about the girls.. don't be. The less hair you have, the more head you get. Razz

BAH!

Shaved heads are cool now anyway, just shave your head (trust me it's worth it, especially when it rains for the first time).

I did a cure for cancer shave, totally down to scalp. I got an infection (which might be your problem) and it killed the hair. It grew back but sparsely. So now I shave every day or so.

I have an electric razor for it, it's great.

Pork chops and beer make hair grow thick and smooth... on your chest.

Did you check for polonium in your food lately?

Seriosly though, just cut it all. Get some tattoo on top of your head or something. Girls will love it. And don't take pills. They might help with hair but they will hurt something else, as all pills do.

Well, hope the doctor will be able to tell you something good, but even if you should go bald in the end - I´m a girl myself and I think the all-bald-look is rather sexy :D Plus - judging from your posts in this topic you seem like a cool guy, so if a girl is worried about your absence of hair then great - yet another cool guy for the not so shallow girls left :D
