What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the removal of the option to save passwords?
Are you trying to prevent other people than the account owner from logging in, when they somehow get access to the account owner's computer? I fail to understand the reasoning behind this move. To me it looks like it's about protecting people from their own stupidity, which is something I can do fine without.
As it stands, people have an option(!) to save their passwords and are not forced to. So it's up to every individual to chose this added "security" (whatever that may be) by not ticking that option. Why remove this choice?
I think it will be a major annoyance not having the option to save my passwords anymore! Please rethink that idea!

There is actually alot of stuff on Sisi NOW that are not in the patch notes; HAC changes (Deimos, Munin), skill requirement changes for Command ships, changes in some modules (like interia stabilizers), boosts to plates and hp extenders, etc, etc. There is a bunch of other stuff, but I rather keep my mouth shut We have to leave some room to hot fixes later on, don't we? |

(Think the link to teh sticky took me to the wrong place, so reposted here.) Whoa, hold on there, wait a second... Quote: Docking while ejecting from a ship is no longer possible.
Unless you are going to enable either letting us get out of the ships and into a pod in a station, OR allowing freighters to interact with POS structures and allowing ships to scoop up free-floating ships this is a very bad thing. How are ships produced at a Ship Array suppose to be transported to a station now without buying tons of shuttles and cluttering up space/maint arrays? How are we suppose to get ships left at SS, POS w/o Ship Maint Array without cluttering up all of space? The simple/easy solution would to be allow us to get into our bare pod in station. The correct solution would be to let us get into our pod in station AND let freighters interact with POS structures. Unless of course the aim of this is to kill off POS ship manufacturing, which is will do quite well. Not too mention the amount of shuttles which will be dumped outside of stations. |

Why is everybody flipping about this? First off: if you stop paying for the game, its only logical that you actually stop PLAYING the game. Second and maybe even more importantly: this gives CCP the option to allow training queues/dual training without worrying about non-paying character farmers... |

"Skills no longer train when the owning account is deactivated." All good apart from that, it really is quite stupid.. i recently couldnt afford to keep my alt account going (i was paying with ISK bought GTCs and ran out of isk/time to make isk + im a poor student) So i slapped a long skill on in the comfortable knowlage that when my funds return to a decent level ill be able to re-activate it and use it again, its not as if im trying to exploit the system and im sure many other people are in the same position as me, those account will be returned to active status after a while, its not as if they were being destroyed.... |

'Skills no longer train when the owning account is deactivated.'
I think this should be reversed... just as soon as I get a skillpoint payment for the 2003-2005 time I meant to subscribe but erm... just wanted to train in the background without paying.
Im sure if CCP find their Away-from-wallet character training players with their 4 months paying out of every 12 is so vital to the finances of the game, they can always add a $4 a month 'train but cant play' hibernation option. |

Edited by: Braaage on 25/11/2006 14:01:38Edited by: Braaage on 25/11/2006 13:20:47Some clarification please Quote: Warp Disrupt Probes have changed, their hitpoints have increased to 1000, flight time decreased to 120 seconds (and carries over after jumps), portion size increased to 2 and volume decreased by 50%.
What is Portion size? Quote: All artillery damage has been increased by 5%.
Does this include POS guns? Quote: All doomsday weapons have been increased by 25%.
Damage? Other thingsYou increased hitpoints of all ships and increased plates on all types so ships have a huge amount of HPs more yet POS guns have not been increased in damage rate so it's now easier to take down POSs than ever before. Is this going to be addressed BEFORE release? The Observator Deep space probe no longer covers an entire solarsystem so how are we expected to find Deep deep way way way (like 500AU) safe spots? I see no mention of the Warp Core Stabs changes? |

Here in Finland we have mandatory military service. I know a guy who has four accounts and is soon forced to go to military service for 6-12 months. While military service is rather fun it unfortunately destroys personal economy completely and thus that guy can't afford paying for his accounts even if he wanted to. He was going to set four long skills and keep one account active for random playing (military service takes away most of free time) but now it seems like he may have to do something completely else, personally I'm a bit scared that he stops playing EVE completely because of this. So yea, I agree that's a bad idea. |

The Ashimmu still hasn't been buffed... Right now, you can't fit it as it's intended... If you want to make use of the bonuses that is... If you want NOS, you can't properly tank it or put any damage dealing guns on. Currently, it's just a rubbish ship, needs way more PG to be of any use or competition... The Curse now does what the Ashimmu used to be good at, but the Curse can actually fit the NOS...
Food for Thought!
Otherwise, good changes! I like the ammo size change! Not nessecarily good for Amarr players (no buff, no nerf), but a big buff for all other races! Are Cap Boosts included in this? What are your changes going to be for cap boosters (use 800s and heavy boosters as an example as it's hard to follow the -20% things if you can please)?
Also, for the buff to named PDS, CPR etc... Are you including RCUs as well? It doesn't say anything in the patch notes, but it would seem strange to leave them out of that change...
Finally, are Heavy Assault Launchers being implemented this patch?
Cheers! |

not really, the clip size is reduced by the same factor so we can still only hold the same clips, just more ammo in hold. DoT will still be a defining factor in a lot of engagements moreso than now. When your reloading for 10 seconds every 55 seconds, it makes a difference, though depends entirely on the scenario whether DoT becomes a factor. It is the same with cap boosters, you can hold more charges as cargo due to volume decrease, but you can still only fit the same amount in your cap booster as you can fit on TQ currently. Quote:

Edited by: Nev Clavain on 25/11/2006 14:41:26 So the effect of various changes to t2 ammo and guns in general + hitpoint boost means this to me:
If you want to snipe with an Apoc you are far better off using projectiles. Probably an identical alpha strike if not more, but no cap use and less fitting requirements. At least there is the Abaddon i suppose. *shrugs. What exactly is the Apoc's role now? Amarr projectile weapon platform? Its not the end of the world but but it leaves a bitter taste in the mouth for those who trained alot of skills for sniping, just to have everyone's natural defence boosted massively, and damage significantly cut at the same time.
Changes to long range and t2 ammo in general seem to balance the needs of huge fleet engagements, with absolutely no thought for the subsequent effect upon those people not flying in blobs of 100 vs 100.
Also skilltraining on inactive accounts - bleh. Not a wise move in my opinion, especially the way you have tried to spin it as a a bug, when before you sold it as a feature. No customer likes being treated like an idiot. Just be honest. Perhaps a more prudent version of this change would have been to disallow the training of certain specific skills while an account is inactive, to limit the abilities of those wishing to abuse the system, while still providing an incentive for many to return to the game after long periods of inactivity.
Oh and for the love of god put the bloody Stab nerf in immediately. |

Hi folks. I just want to let you know that skill training WILL continue while the account is inactive. I had picked this up wrong when i was speaking to Wrangler before and i mistakenly told him that skills stop training when accounts go inactive, this is why it was included in the patch notes and it's entirely my fault. This was a mistake on my part and the patch notes will be changed and that line removed as soon as possible. Apologies for the misunderstandings. |
