Make them integral maybe, or make a new micro-sized class of turrets for them, something!! They are too cool looking to be next to totally useless! And it would let the right out of the gate trader be able to buy a little something to go ratting with thats different from his n00b mobile.

Bolded part ruined your topic tbh. Because shuttles warp instantly they´re allmost impossible to catch. Just because of that shuttle doesnt need anything.

Shuttles are extremly usefull.
Micro tiny lasers are totally not needed.

Although there's definately balancing issues if you gave shuttles weapons, it's annoying how some of the shuttles look like they actually have guns or that they are made for fighting. But alas, they are just for show :(

I also think it would be fun to have shuttle wars!!!

give them a non ammo based weapon system (in other words they can shoot but don't need to buy charges)

integrate it with dogfighting once they are able to make that a reality

fast weak shuttles, weak guns - fast weak fun - haha

I can see allowing shuttles to fit civilian modules and -only- civilian modules. Allows for slight boosting to flight speed and for some fun/funny pew-pew-pew matches that cost nothing to participate in. (Who can't afford 15k isk?)

I'd be okay with a sort of manned fightercraft. No cargohold, one racial turret (explosive for minmatar, thermal for Gallente, etc.) with the approximate characteristics of a heavy drone, 300m/s base speed, half the agility of an interceptor, repackageable to 500 cubic meters, requires racial frigate level 1 to fly. A hauler or capital ship could carry a whole batch of them around, and jettison them for pilots who lose their primary ship during a fight.

Could be fun.

You guys are looking at it as its relevance to established pilots, Im looking at it from the perspective of the day one player. He can buy a shuttle with his starting position, why not let a n00b have some FUN when he starts to play?

But what can be use of civilian turrets outside first hour of playing? They do so little damage, hat they are useless.

Shutle has its role and it fits it perfectly.
Useless guns wont help it :)

useless...

you know how often peeps fly shuttles when they need to fly in empire afk from spot to spot? you know they are fully designed for 1 thing knowing to travel you fast from point A to point B so that we see them enouph and they have no combat thing but that is the way they are designed.

it's the same as saying why we dont let freighters have guns now they only have lots of hp but no guns...
