Im getting somewhat tired of all the buy my isk spam and the idea was obviously ignored for the last patch, hence a petition.

I can already add player corps and alliances to the blocklist, why cant i add newbie corps? FIX IT RIGHT PLEASE NOW CCP.

People seem to go a tad into the WoW side where they seem to hate new people comming to the game . Slag every one off on the forums

End of the day . Yeh isk spammers suck but is it really hard to just delete the message ?
We still have new people comming to eve and all us ignoring them kinda wont help things will it..

And this is what we get for playing a MMO.. all you can do is ban there accounts . Not get silly about it

A: Newbies dont send me evemails, if they have no reason to and if they do i dont read them anyway.
B: I keep getting more and more Evemails, nearing one a day now, its only gonna increase further.
C: Yes deleting them every time is a pretty big pain in the ass, i have enough junk mail to delete as it is.

OH NOES ONE A DAY!!!! WOW THATS OMGZPEWPEW SUX!!!

Please, get a grip, who cares, and if you have "a ton of junk mail" to delete already, then your problem seems to lie elsewhere. How about quit visiting **** sites with your in-game browser? That might help the EVE-Junk Mail you are getting.

Alot of me me me .
Well even tho you get a pesky mail which yes.. Is anoying but takes 1 seccond to delete .
But still if we all ignore newbie corps . How are they ment to join another corp? Hope some one isnt like you so they can mail/convo?
The soultion wont be ignoring newbie corps i tell you that ..

The pro's/cons of this idea is 1 pro to very clinical no's.
But dont get me wrong.. yes mails anoying but think of a better way Confused

alternative solution anyone that sends an evemail with the workds gameyeah.com in it (yes this is one of he sites that spams me on a daily basis)

CCP need to put a spam filter that blocks the above phrase from evemails - if someone sends anything containing "gameyeah.com" in it it is rerouted to the CCP mods who can check on the sender and if need be block the offending sender (nice and easy) and it never reaches the real player that they intended to spam up hence they never know it was sent

To logical for CCP probably but this would work rather than a blanket block on noob players

I don't follow the logic here. Why does allowing Joshua to block newbie corps mean that absolutely everybody will do?

Knowing a human logic as you call it . I know the majority would take the easy way out . Thus the majority instead of Every one would be ignored .
And again leading back to my point id hate to see us end up like the WoW community . Better ways can be done to solve matters then just ignoring .
Like the guy above said. A filter option could work .

Their bot harvests names from the forums I think. The more you post, the more spam you get.

We finally got a forum tax.

Yup that's it exactly, characters I don't post on the forums with don't get evemails. They also know that if you're posting on the forum then your account must be active.

Your approache will not solve any problem. ISK sellers will create corps and send their spam from those accounts.

Charging them for ISK per evemail will not work either as ISK is not a problem of a ISK seller.

Incremental CSPA charges may work or we will end up with loads of trail accounts.

There is no feasible way to stop them.

Just limit trial account evemails per day, that'd be alot more effective.Confused

The fact I've only gotten one, ever, on this char, and 8 on an alt proves that theory wrong.Rolling EyesWink

Spammers dont really get banned unfortunately. I petitioned then seconds after I got such mails (only on my alt so far) and got a reply within some days and got this reply:
Quote:
Hi there,

Unfortunately spam mail about isk selling has become a problem in Eve. We deal with the problem by banning those that are reported and are verified to have sent these mails but more permanent solutions are being worked on.

Note that unless the mail you are reporting is less than an hour old, we have already banned the spammer in question. It usually takes us about ten minutes to ban a spammer after he starts and additional reports after that, although they are well meant, are apt to slow us down.

I checked out the smpammers and the chars are still there.

Fine, as long as I get the option to block anyone who's blocked the newbie corps.
Also, 1.5 mil per spammer for a corp isn't going to slow them down.

Burning the new players with napalm to fail to hit the target, basically.

Malthros Zenobia, abd the ability to convo. And joining channels. And...

Basically, no. More hard limits will just mean that CCP loses even MORE players because the trial is stupidly restrictive. Also, there's a better soloution. ISp's limit your emails...you don't notice because you're not a spammer, and those rolling limits could easily be applied to Evemail.

Then let corps who send evemails like NAGA put up say a 2 billion ISK bond to "CONCORD" and be able to send evemails from the corp to players. If the corp spams, they lose the ISK as well as getting the ban. 2 billion WILL slow the spammers down per-time..

CCP has said numerous times that they've never deleted a character, so I'd have to agree.

What kind of insane person are you?

Anyone who thinks EVE isn't worth it because they can only send 2-3 eve-mails a day on a trial account is NOT going to stick around when they get pirated for the first time either.

Just because you don't like someone's idea doesn't mean you should try to stupify it in your usual way.Rolling Eyes

I think what they do is type in 3 letters and then spam everyone that comes up. This would explain why I have gotten around 2 spam mails as Hllaxiu, both when I was idling in Jita. A second character I use gets them like clockwork.

EDIT: As long as I'm talking about my character name - having something strange to pronounce seems to increase your targetting priority in a fleet instead of decreasing it. Yes I'm looking at you BoB...
