Yes, check the EvE fan sites. One of them have a program you can download that works really weel. You just drag and drop the mp3 files into the program and It will load them into eve. If I was not so lazy right now I would find the exact site. Its one of the frist 3 or 4 listed on the main page.

nm, answered me own question. for anyone elses info, when you use the cool tools to add your own MP3, there is a folder created under EVE/res called "Sound". Move or delete it, re-run the game.

The supreme easy sounds of Mr. John Hallur can once again be enjoyed. Whew.

Add your own entries (#EXTINF:<track length in seconds>,<title><<new line>><filename>) or remove the #EXTM3U and tack it onto your own playlist.

Your own music & playlist must be in \EVE\res\Sound\Music

For music on the login, name your playlist login.m3u, for ingame music, name your playlist inflight.m3u.

In some cases ID3 tags may mess up playback, in which case just remove them from the copied music. Also, VBR mp3s have been known to not playback well, VBR oggs should do fine.

PS - Some Music in the Music stuff file, but not included in the inflight playlist. (Ambient001 & 042 are in the login.m3u)

the other way to combine the ingame music with your own: extract the music files from the eve client and drag them into the list too, along with the other titles you want to hear ingame.

Hi all - I followed the above and successfully managed to get tunes and the names of the tunes into EVE... however - even though I can load my .m3u playlists into other media players with no probs - EVE just will not keep the order that is specifed in the .m3u file Shocked. Does anyone have any ideas? Confused

Instead of listening to imported music, I just tune into one of the ambient/space-themed channels at live365.com. Importing music just seems like too much of a pain when I have such a low attention span.

www.ambient.us

Or other channels like: celestialsounds & starstreams

Yeah - I listen to eve-radio myself and highly recommend it. But the facility is there to import the tunes and it's almost working correctly, it's just the order that's not working...

Now with me, that's like an itch I need to scratch! I'm hate it if I don't understand why something doesn't work when I think it should.. things like that bother me :) lol

ok two things....

1) Forum Necrophilia is bad M'kay

2) the program mentioned has been said to violate the EULA as it modifies game files.

Just run winamp in the background

Shocked I'd say necrophilia is bad, period.

Yes, keeping this thread alive with the reply...

I do enjoy the music though; best for any games I have played!

To my knowledge, that tool does not work anymore since Dragon and the increased security on the client. Not to mention that modifying the client data is against the EULA, regardless of intent.

Lets let this thread die now.

*Locked*

Modifying the client in any way is a breach of the EULA.

Just play safe and use another media player such as Winamp or WMP.
