Re-read and saw you already did this....you sure you got the right file? You will probably have to re-install now. When all is working, THEN do below...

No..

delete your pref.ini file (in cache folder).

You will have to reset your colors, go through some annoying "don't ask me again" check boxes, and cancel the tutorial(unless you want to run through it) but this works for me.

Ive got a saved copy now, and everytime it happens (and it happens alot) I just copy over my old pref.ini and im back in biz...

And, yes, ive submitted bug reports, lots of them...still nothing
