I have a question I have been patrolling the forums and I am looking for how do you acquire a Guardian-Vexor. I know there is one for sale for 500 Mill. But how do you get one to begin with.. acquire.. whatever without having to pay so much money.. Is it Mission reward? What.. please clear up for meRazz

There were 50 released a while back. No more were created.

Its a collector's item.

It bums me to no end that I once did manage to buy one for not too much cash, and got it blown to bits. *sigh*

I think there are currently 2 on the market for a cool 650 mill each...

you can't buy BPOs for them
only 50 were ever made, for an event a while back. quite why they are listed on the market unlike all the other event or faction ships, i don't know.

Its still a Tech 1 ship. Much like Faction navy ships you get as agent rewards. None of them are particularly better than their original counterparts, its simply a collectors item.

actually , the guardian vexor is superior to the vexor, right down to the bigger drone bay.

A long time ago there was an event. I believe it had something to do with seeing who could haul the most oxygen over a period of time. As a reward, 5 run bpcs of guardian vexors were given out. In total, there once existed either 50 or 80 gvexors. No more. Many got blown up. Many are locked in inactive accounts. How many in total exist on active players is anyone's guess, but it isn't a very big number. As such, the GVexor is a collector's item (limited) just like the Silver Magnate, Imperial Apocalypse, Gold Statue, Imperial Armageddon and one or two other such items. No more will ever be made or released. So the total number will only ever go down if it changes. That is why there is such an expensive price tag attached to it.

As for why it shows up on the market when none of the other collector's items do, that is simply explained. Last summer (I believe) a patch was released that gave cruisers secondary skills. The guardian vexor is in essence a vexor with an extra turret and 10% armor difference. When the vexor received it's +1 drone bonus, the gvexor did not. After sending in a note on this the situation was fixed. It appears that the fix was done by mirroring the vexor statistics and then just adjusting the differences. Because of this, the guardian vexor got added to the market display. (And a bpo entry was generated for it even though the has NEVER been a guardian vexor bpo in existance)

Now as you know, CCP is very "busy" and a lot of cosmetic issues and little details fall through the cracks. I'm sure you can name a few. Missing descriptions, non-existant icons, improperly mapped hotkeys, 2 year old skills with no purpose and invalid market entries. That is why you can still find the guardian vexor in the market.

There were only 55 ever made, and about 10-15 destroyed already. No more Guardian-Vexor's will be seeded into the game, thus making them rare and a coveted collecters item.

They are a Tech1 ship, only having one missile slot and one or two stats (can't be arsed to check at the moment)that are different in favour of the G-V. The only reason they cost that much, is because they are rare.

Mine is up for sale on the market at Silen, The Forge region for a sum of 650mil isk, if you would be interested.
