Hello everyone, I am returning after a long break, since a week or two before shiva and I am just returning now.

I am getting a prophecy to do some level 3 agent missions or so, and I have been out of the game for such awhile that I could use some help on a setup. Thanks.

Here's what I used, and it was totally fine for me:

5x Heavy Pulse Laser
1x Heavy Missile Launcher
---------------------------
1x 10mn AB
2x Cap Recharge
---------------------------
1x Medium Rep II (Tech 2 is essential)
2x Hardeners
3x Cap relays (or swap one for a damage mod/tracking mod)
---------------------------

Also as many Medium drones as you can carry. Heavy drones are a no-no as you can barely carry any. Go T2 when possible as well.

Been using this alot recently for complexes

6 Heavy Pulse II (radio and mf), Arb. Rocket Launcher(defenders)
1 10mn Ab II, 1 Tracking Comp II, 1 Webby
6 T2 Heatsinks Twisted Evil

I dont usually need to tank in that as usually the rats firing on me get killed in 1 volly. Its also not bad for PvP Cool

I use similar setup but with stacking costs u loose too much i believe to make using 6 worth while.

6 * Heavy Modal Pulses radio\mf
1 * arb rocket wit defenders

1 * named 10 mn ab
1 * 20km scrambler
1 * named webber

3 * heatsink 2's
3 * Teacking enhancer 2's

The tracking enhancers r nice for using wit radio for the range boost.Very Happy

6-Heavy Pulse tech (1 or depending on skills 2), 1-Heavy Launcher (your choice)
2-Cap rechargers, 1-Webby
1-Medium Armor (tech 2 is best)4-Activated Hardeners(Race Specific), 1-Cap Power Relay
I use this setup for all my level 3 missions and some of my lvl 4 missions and it does decent damage and can run a constant tank.

I'm trying to use my Prophecy for level 3 combat missions. I notice that most of you are using heavy pulse, but I can only fit 3 of those with the rest of my setup. I have engineering 5, energy management 4 and energy systems 4, but I am using medium pulse for this setup. Are you sacrificing your tanking abilities for more damage and is that wise for level 3 missions? Thanks for any input.

I use:

High Slots:
6x Heavy pulse I's
1x Heavy launcher (scourge missiles)

Med Slots:
1x X5 web
2x Cap recharger I's or II's

Low Slots:
1x Med armor rep II
4-5x Hardeners
1-2x Cap Relays/PDU I's or II's

Works fine and kills nicely.

you probibly need some named heavy pulses, grid is a problem using t2 stuff as i found out hence stacking damage mods, the damage i get is bordering on insane.

er i imagine a PDS II would be one way of fitting more stuff, so i might give that a go with t2 cap chargers.

it's strange, a lot of the other setups for the prophecy I've seen on these forums have been using medium pulse lasers (frig sized). any reason for this? or is that just a good idea if you were to go up against frigates...?

They could mean medimum focussed pulse which are still not bad. Again i wouldnt use frig guns on a proph as it has more than enough grid to tank teh rats.

Personally i think tracking is fine with meduium pulses and ok skills.

They would be medium focused pulse. You have to fit at least 1 or 2 instead of heavy if you want to fit a decent tank. I use 3 heavy, 3 focused and a tank (T2 med, 3 hardners, PDU, 800mm plate). But I havent got eng V or weapon upgrades V yet.

I cant use tracking computers yet, would it be worth me using a tracking enhancer in a mid slot instead ?

Should a Prophecy be able to pull off the Mordu's Headhunters mission with this seup?

HIGH-
3 Modal Heavy Pulse
3 Medium Pulse II
1 Malkuth Standard Launcher

MID-
10 MN AB II
2 FB-10 cap recharger

LOW-
1 Thermic hardener
1 Explosive hardener
2 heatsinks
1 cap power relay
1 medium repairer II

hmm, i guess, you might want to fit a kinetic hardner instead as mordus do kinetic and thermal damage i believe

Thanks! I won the mission but it was a tight at certain moments. Is it ok to just use a couple energized membranes and call it good instead of having to switch hardeners for each mission type?

You can if you are lazy. Makes some missions a lot harder.

I'm a newb (less than 2 months) so take my advice with a grain of salt (or is that a bottle of quafe?)...

I died in my first prophecy because I couldn't hit anything up close, and then I didn't have the power to warp out. This time I've equipped quad afocal lasers and I love them. The damage/sec is almost as good as the heavys (about 10% less), the power/sec is about 1/2 a heavy. The turret speed is about double. The only thing bad is a shorter optimal range and a dismal falloff, but neither of these has bothered me yet. PvP would be a different matter.

With the small power usage of the quads I can fire all day, web, and other things and not even come close to running out of power. The fast tracking means I can hit the drones no sweat up until they are about 1km from me, and then I either web them, or I have plenty of power for an AB which keeps them behind me and then the transverse velocity is well within my turret speed.

I'm still at level 2 missions (no level 3 yet), but at those the NPCs only got through my shields and into the hull once and just barely. One day I'll actually have to use my armor repairer during the fight. :)

Then go at long range or fit a tracking mod and a webby, heavy pulses chew through rats in second.

(On a side note i got my Proph chewed up pretty badly lastnight 4v1 but i was supprised how long i lasted, i and my BC skill is only at 2 at the moment. I love the proph its such a nice ship i hope they make a t2 version)

Depending on what kind of mission im doing I change between these 2 setup's:
4xt2 heavy pulse
2xt2 focused pulse
1xrocket launcher
ab t2, caprecharger and web
3 cpr, 2 hardeners and 1medium t2 rep.

for non deadspace i use
3xt2 heavy pulse
3xt2 focused pulse
t2mwd, cap recharge and web
3 cpr, 2 hardeners and 1medium t2 rep.

I can solo all lvl3 missions with these setup's. If you cant use t2 guns just use standard named guns.

edit: and i use light drones.

Not that hard to meet, most would have cruiser 5 anyway Wink

But yes, I'd really want a T2 prophecy.

As for my current setup, it works very well

2x heavy pulse II
4x focused med II
1x named hvy launcher (explosive hvy missiles)

1x 10mn ab II
1x tracking comp II
1x named cap recharger

1x med armour rep II
2x energized nano II (too lazy to change, and just plain forget)
3x cpr

Plenty of grid left, but again I'm just too plain lazy to do anything about it such as more heavy pulses or a 1600mm or whatever else I can come up with, and as long as it works. The missiles and hobgoblins usually take care of NPC tacklers, while the laser go for the others.

Tech II prophacy would be the shiznit!!!

6x Heavy Beam II
1x Heavy Arb Launcher

1x Fleeting Webby
2x Sensor Booster II

3x Heatsink II
2x RCU II
1x Med Armor Repairer II

This setup works pretty well right now. Does about equal dmg over time to zealot if you have the right skills. The two extra beams (50% more) make up for the lack of a dmg bonus. Fast locks, and pops something like a, say a, Caracal in two vollys of multispec. Fleeting webby for those evil ceptors.
