This video will highlight another aspect of our corp life that has been growing in importance over the last year: Themed/RR gangs with up to 9 combat ships. The video itself has been in production for ages, as I had a lot going on in rl and my computer kept annoying me by finding new ways to not render what I wanted it to render - most fights are several months old by now and maybe offer less of a surprise factor than they might have, as similar gangs have been shown by other video makers. In any case, I do not claim to be any kind of amazing pvp pilot or anything. There is a fair share of piloting errors in the movie, again, and there are no spectacular stunts... just solid fighting against the odds, always helped with t3 links, and some nice tunes. The Professionals1680x1050 1,2gb .avi 29:57 minutes Once again, I hope to get a .mkv going, but considering the issues I had even with this file and how sick I am of it, don't count on it any time soon. I may upload one of the failed renders though for hilarity's sake. Not the best video you've made and not very interesting, in my opinion. But! Clearly you're having fun, which is always great.
Interesting comments in the first part of your video (with regards to the growth of your corporation). Wanted to push back a little. I wonder if your corporation is not or is a cult of personality and growth for so many corporations in this game. Often signals the end (in terms of quality pvp). If you left the game for a long period of time. Would your corporation still be active? In your opinion, what is the right size (in terms of membership) a corporation, who's focus is solo and small gang pvp should be?

Ok, clips in the vid are not your taste, thats cool, but i don´t get the rest of your post. In our usual gangs 30-50% are friends which were invited to fly with us. We´re still a rather small Corp and still roam solo or with 2-3 and imo its still quality PvP. Anyway, really liked that video, but somehow during the first Epilog fights it just ends, but there should be 2-3 more minutes  |

I certainly agree that it is not my best video, and that the footage is less thrilling to watch by itself/easy to present as in some other of my videos. Tbh I had my issues understanding this paragraph, but I think I can answer. No, I do not think that our corp is any kind of personal cult the way Genos appears to be - in any case not aimed at me. I have been inactive, and the corp is still there - not sure what would happen if Jaster left though. Him and Kovorix are easily the best pilots in the corp, I am more of a theoretician. And as for ideal size, I really do not know. We aim at 8 active members so we can have the necessary 4 for a rr gang at any given day - if that is good to keep our eu tz people soloing is hard to tell. I think it's a question of the pilot's mind if they want to. ---------------------- I have gotten first reports of playing issues. Apparently, vlc does not like the movie and cuts off the last clip - Media Player Classic takes it without problem afaik. Damn it. In any case, the last fight is me in a Maelstrom, and there are end credits with "thank you for watching" at the very end. If you didn't see that, your player cheated you. |

I thought it was fantastic. Every fight was great quality and really interesting to watch imo. Music was great, and the comments were really informative and interesting I found.

Downloaded video, logged in, corp was chatting about personality cults, ideal corp sizes and what not (eve stuff). Was asked my opinion, but couldn't be arsed to think about. Miriam Sasko had some comments on the subject and what not. So, I asked and forwarded his answer = / (Just some laziness, nothing really serious). |

Hey dude.
I thought this was fantastic. I think the ideas you laid out at the start are right on the money, most of eve doesn't give engagability enough consideration and its great to see a group of guys who can perform so well with that in mind.
Might try to steal some of your ideas from in here =)
Also, big ups for the megathron and maelstrom fights at the end, seems like that kind of thing is so hard to make happen nowadays.

Awesome stuff! It's sad that not many other battleship hulls have the slot layout to do something like that. The tempests pull it off with aplomb! I really want to get a gang like this going sometime now :D
One thing I did notice was a lack of Typhoons in your fleet. Out of curiosity, I ran the numbers. The Typhoon can do similar DPS to the Tempest because it can fit a 2nd gyro, while also being able to 3 fit RR's and still be cap stable with the MWD off. I suppose not having a 5th mid might be problem, however. The bigger drone bay is also quite appealing. Care to enlighten me? |

We usually use 2 ECCMs for our Setups, because most of EVE is not able to fight without Falcon or ECM drones these days so 5 Medslots are very important. |

Also 3 RRs is pushing the cap too much probably, 2 is plenty to strain it (with 1 cap booster). Another reason is drone dps tends not to be real dps when you have a couple battleships shooting a hurricane, as it dies before heavies can lumber over. |
