why does your clone revert back to what it looked like before?

example you change appearance
Clone Jump to new Clone change appearance
clone Jump back and the appearance changes you did to your first clone has gone back to default

anyway to stop it reverting back to default every clone jump?

It says "be sure to keep your clone updated". Geez.

Each time I clone jump I default back to my appearance before Incarna's patch. Sad

Because it would be immersion breaking.

Wait whats that? clothes that don't get destroyed when your pod dies?

In all seriousness, of the many annoying parts of clone jumping (and trust me there are many) you picked the one that no one cares about and most people probably don't notice because they incarna off.

The real issues with clone jumping.

Not having multiple jump clones in 1 station, are you telling me there isn't room in there for a spare? I fail to see the logic behind this, of my 5 JCs 4 are in 1 system (halos, slaves, talismans, +3s) and I don't see why they all have to be in different stations.

The timer, yes the timer is important and I would never ask for it to be removed, JBs already make eve a small place. However I think we should be able to swap with clones already in the same station. Its just annoying that if you want to fly a certain ship with a certain set of implants you are then effectively forced to fly that ship for 24hours or be at a disadvantage.

An extension to this could be a cooldown timer based on distance jumped instead of the current static one. So a long jump (anything over 12LY maybe?) is 24 hours and every 0.5 LY under that is 1 hour less, down to a 0 timer at 0 LY, There could possibly a skill to reduce this by 5% per level or so as well.

Right because they want people undocking in Jita during war dec to go update their clones. Confused

you do realize i was talking appearance and not your Skill points right?
as in you can set your appearance on Clone and then Jump from that clone to another clone and have set another appearance for that clone.

so when you jump back it seems to go back to default appearance that you set when you created it
not to the last appearance that you left it when you jumped clones

I say that's pretty frelled up. Russian botters and their crappy hardware may not care about Incarna (or rather, pretend they don't care, because they can't run it), but I do; and I find it immensely immersion breaking that I can't restore my current look upon jumping. They should really add a 'save/restore profile' setting at the character creator, so you can simply reload your old hair-style and the rest upon clone jumping.

When do people get it? You're NAKED in your pod, you don't wear clothes in your pod... Although the monocle etc. might get destroyed, as it is an implant.

Of course it gets destroyed.

But as soon as you wake in your new clone, the helpful med-techs gouge out your eyeball with a spoon and ram a nice *new* monocle in the cavity.

At least it's not a problem for anything important or meaningful in the game.

Jumping out of your pod onto a grating every time you dock is not immersive. Nothing in Incarna is immersive. I dock to the door and hit f10 for something to spin.
