Are you serious ? The Orca didn't shoot back ? That must have been such a fail Orca fit then... or ? Are you just so stupid that you didn't realize you just made a complete fool out of yourself.

This actually changed about 2 or 3 patches ago. It was essencially a change to the corp management tools to allow for roles, memberships and other activities to be accomplished while in space. The reasoning for this was actually solid. Supercaps had to leave their ship unpiloted somewhere and dock to change stuff. The new feature was to be able to leave and join corps while in space and still piloting your ship.

With this change CEOs could kick people without them docking because the change over effect no longer initiated on dock.

Yeah, see this recent change is probably going to catch a few people by surprise. I did not know this.

But yeah, that sucks about the Orca gank OP. Involuntarily changing corps in the middle of combat is kinda dumb. That said, imagine ... imagine if highsec war targets were silly enough to shoot an npc corp pilot.

Take a moment to ponder and let that settle in.

e: Obviously legit if you can lose a ship like you did in the blink of an eye mid-fight. Just sayin'.

What exploit is this? Is it an exploit to kick somebody in space, or is it an exploit to kick them in space so that they get CONCORDed?

And Honest Jill was there!

This has the making of an epic CCP marketing video. I am getting the vibe. Quick, call up Quentin and see if he's interested in the script.

So in your leet PvP'ness you decide to shoot not only a blue, but a carebear mobile one at that and then call "exploit!" when you are kicked in the balls by the blue disavowing you?

Even the lowest of null scum don't tolerate blue-on-blue, about time we got tools to mitigate it.
Don't worry though, I am sure you can find some other just as cowardly loophole to use .. Goddess knows there are enough of them around.

Agreed, congrats on being outsmarted, not that its saying much.

Also wanted to add for those compiling a list that Slimy Worm is also an alt of the same person. Looked through previous posts and its pretty obvious if you know what to look for.

Orion admitted to using an exploit:

Hi everyone, I was the pilot of the orca in question. Simply put, Honest Jill (at that time ToryAlexander) was a newly joined corp member. We had recently instituted a policy of giving very new members no roles until they prove to be trustworthy. This was not known to "Honest Jill" because we were griefed before by a friend of her's, and adjusted our policies to prevent such events.
I was using my orca to haul, when "Honest Jill" jammed and attacked me. I chose not to attack back because i knew it would have been futile anyway. At the time my orca was set up for simple mining boosting and hauling, not concentrating on defense. We attempted to kick her from the corp. since she did not have any earned roles yet, and low and behold, the game allowed us to. The next thing we knew, concord showed up and saved my Orca. Thank you CCP and CONCORD

It is not an exploit, neither did the corp ceo admited to such a thing.

The story just confirms what has been said allready, you can kick people in space when they have no roles. You can also apply to a corperation in space now.

Seems you done and failed twice now.

It's not an exploit, it's a game mechanic working as intended.

Just because you're butt hurt because your corp betrayal didn't work doesn't make it an exploit.

If you haven't already thought of at least one or two clever ways to make this game mechanic work for you, you're not going to make it very far in this game anyhow.

Same as me saying "well, i happened to have a 3-4k dps tank against the faction navy, and decided to ignore their warnings, and lo and behold i could sit in a 1.0 all day and ignore them."

they tried something they did not know would work, it worked, good for them.

its about time CCP changed the rules and let corps do this. its too easy for people to grief others and be perfectly protected by the game.

have fun getting into another corp

rofl, "blacklisted" ? I'm pretty sure he wouldn't even bother with fail corps, truth is he will have A LOT of fun getting into another corp, serious nullsec corps are always on the lookout for noob-predators simply because of the cunning mentality.

Also, would have loved it if that orca was a wreck nowYARRRR!!

Lol that's not exploiting, that's simply trying something new and finding it works, that would be like me not knowing you can't give someone money while in space and trying it to see if it works.

exploit definition (in gaming terms)

A loop hole or an instance of taking advantage of a loop hole.

There was no loop hole, because the mechanics were working as intended and thus no exploit.

Cunning? He wasn't even smart enough to make sure he was granted a role before trying to gank his own corp?

"Cunning" is not on the list of words I would choose.

On one hand, I certainly wouldn't refer to corpmate shooting as cunning by any means, but on the other:
When was this change introduced? Did it make it into the patch notes? If not you could certainly petition it and most likely get your ship back. The change itself is a TERRIBLE idea(assuming it is a legit change and not a bug), not because of corpmate griefing but because it also means you can boot someone from a corp while wartargets are shooting them. It's so easily exploitable it's hilarious.

I did the same thing a few weeks ago. Was used to the old way where u couldn't be kicked in space. CEO kicked me and my poor Domi went pop. The only problem was the Tengu I was trying to gank was still attacking me along with 2 Hulks. Twisted Evil They all got popped by CONCORD followed by much raging.

Now I just get roles before doing anything. Best way is to make up something about having a bunch of free t1 mods to dump in the noob hanger or if they don't have a POS then say you want to set one up.
