Perpetuumm is a game that is IDENTICAL to eve, to the point where I think a valid lawsuit could be waged against them.
From ship names, to class concepts its a copy paste, even the UI is ripped out of EVE.

Wait, what? The game with the big robots? Either this is a troll or a bad attempt at marketing to another game's player base. Either way, this thread should be killed. |

The gameplay is terrible, there is no content, and what does exist is just an exploitation from EVE. Its an easy lawsuit. |

Just about everything Tommy boy says is a weak trolling attempt. You ought to hear him on voice its MUCH MUCH worse.He even has a troll like RL voice. |

There are a few problems with this: 1) What copyright, patent or trademark is being violated? Copyrights only applies to information which exists in a fixed form, e.g. you can copyright a book, computer code, an image but you can't copyright a user interface, a business practice, a chemical process or an idea. If you want to protect these things from theft, you must protect them via patents. However, patents are not automatically awarded to a creator - the patents must be registered. I do not think that CCP has patented their user interface. Likewise the names of items in the game fall under the jurisdiction of trademark - not copyright. Furthermore, many of these names are too similar to real life names - so trademark might not even apply to them. 2) How do you know that the creators of that game did not purchase a license from CCP? 3) CCP has known about this for a long time - if they take legal action now, an argument could be made that they are using the justice system in bad faith. |

If they did sue them and brought down their game, it would be so loltastic for all the whiners bailing Eve and then going to Perpetuum. Hilarity would ensue as the frustration boiled over from them losing both their games, which eventually they would come back to Eve anyway for more *****ing and moaning. |
