ccp plans to introduce a portable printing press in the nex store with that you can publish your works and print all manner of books, tracts, religious screeds and broadsides which you can then sell on the market. special neutral stations are being constructed in secret locations in jove space as I speak, these will become cultural centers of new eden and provide a communal environment for battle weary pod pilots to take a load off, watch some TV, enjoy a poetry reading or take in a fashion show, do a bit of shopping... its all part of the grand plan, and its all coming together MMMMUUUUUUWWWWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  |

None of what you people are doing actually classifies as a Haiku. More like trying for a Senryu, really (same 5-7-5 pattern, but not necessarily nature related). Here's a real Japanese Senryu I once wrote. It wasn't really EVE related, originally, but can easily be seen so. I call it 'My First PvP Experience' for the occassion. :)

Not only is it metrically correct (the Japanese, at least), but it also contains a rather cute self-reference, if I dare say so myself, as 'shikujiru' (to blunder) is not an Ichidan verb, but a Godan verb; so, the proper -masu form is not 'shikujimasu', but 'shikujirimasu'.
N.B. Oops, I realize we have actual Japanese people on the forum now; best be careful what I say; hehe. I'm just a noob student Japanese, of course; but I'd be interested to see a real Japanese person pitch in. :) |
