Today, I was there when the eve pilots mananged to ply their dastardly trades for a whole twenty three and a half hours without a patch being applied, the server dropping connections, extended downtime for unforseen circumstances or disruption to server access due to the whole of ccp attending a hamster funeral.
It was true, it happened, I was there !!

Today I made a thread in the forums vowing that I would kill someone before downtime, with or without the help of my fellow EVE compatriots.
I set out into Space and the unknown and warped through my first gate.
Lo and behold, empty as usual. The next system, though, belonged to the lower security persuasion.
Immediately after having emerged on the other side of the gate, I survey my surroundings, not a target in sight.
The first asteroid belt in the system becomes my destination and what do I find? A lone Rifter shooting at rats. And this is where I completed my goal of death, destruction and the collection of a corpse, all within twenty minutes of creating the aforementioned thread. (which is actually a few posts below this one)
I was there. (although I'm not sure the Rifter pilot was) |

Today in deep low sec on my way home from an unsuccessful solo roam in my nano ruppy. I got this felling you know the felling like your being followed. I jumped gate and then it all started the gate activated and as I started alining to warp they uncloaked a hurricane and drake with a scimitar I got into warp but they still gave chase trying to catch me at ever gate. I jumped 3 to 4 jumps with out them catching me I got to the 5th gate from when I saw them I jumped though and there was one big as gate camp HICs HACs BCs and 3 logis. I hold cloak think oh s*** I'm going to die here today but then I see the gate activate the group from before was still following me. they decloak before me the camp rushes them and as they were killing them I alin and warp I was home and I was safe- I was there. Today one of our moons was reinforced by entities much greater than us. We scrambled our resources and cyno jammed the system. Since these forces who can amass much greater super capital fleets and have far more average skill points than my alliance, we called up a few friends for assistance. The enemy fleets arrived shortly after ours got into system. Our fleet consisted of Maelstroms, Scorpions, heavy logistics and random support for our primarily T1 battleship fleet. Our enemies were made up of a three separate fleets, two of them in strategic cruisers, one being an armor heavy assault cruiser fleet. On any EFT warrior would calculate that we had a disadvantage as numbers for both sides were nearly even.
Combat started and due to the diligence of CCP, the system ran beautifully and there was barely any lag. Missiles flew, lasers fired and our artillery cut though the enemy fleet one ship at a time. The combat went on for about 2 hours straight where the end result put us way ahead of a superior fleet with better composition. Our tower was saved and the forces of elite pvp were thwarted once again. - I was there. |
