This went just the way CCP planed and you fell for it. I actually did expect more from you. And also, why do you trust CCP when they say no p2w? They lied when they said no MT so what stops them from lying again? I do not mind if CCP had (vanity only) MT if they used the money on EVE and not vampire online... But whole Incarna is about MT besides probe fix, turrets and some other bugfix... Yes, walking in station is there only to get you to buy items for you character! Thats also why they wont have the old hangar optional as they want to force you to look at your character. disccuse what we could have done to prevent this.PS. Crowd Control Productions is actually a very fitting name  |

CCP has promised WiS for years now, and Incarna is attempting to deliver. I don't have an issue with that.
Vanity purchases (these are not micro-transactions) are irksome simply because it gives EvE a Farmville flavor. With no way to earn those items in-game, it gives players a benefit that can only be purchased.
Annoying, but livable.
Gold ammo gives an actual game advantage to players willing to, in essence, bribe CCP for special items. That completely rewrites the game. (CCP - $50 for Hulk BPO?)

CCP don't care about us but they will care about their reputation!
So if everyone badmouth CCP untill they stop this madness they will:
1. Remove MT and everyone lives happily ever after(maybe not CCP).
2. Continue MT but no one will play their games so everyone is a sad panda.
3. Do as I suggest in my sign and everyone is happy!

no people laughed... $70 monocle? lol wtf.... the worst part was CQ before they decided that P2W would be pretty cool.

They use the money to pay devs and I heard (forgot where) that almost all the devs work on vampire online and dust I also heard they got a loan they need to pay. |

I'm not sure how else CCP would fund projects like that, there only income is from EVE Online is it not? |

Yep. Just stated they have no plans for MT about a year ago, and no plans for P2W during the remap debacle. Basically they just called a CSM meeting and everything to reiterate what they've already said for those with comprehension difficulties. They'd never commit to saying no P2W or no MT, no company would limit their future decisions that way. Or would you rather they just outright lied to you. Who's to say how the MMO sub model will change in 2/5/10 years. |

These are from last year, in order of them being posted. Then there was mild rage (although nothing compared to what just happened) and they decided not to do remaps for plex, then CSM5 had meeting in Iceland and the whole debarcle went code red and they promised "Vanity Only" Mts only. Its a pitty there wasn't as much noise BEFORE they introduced the mechanics ingame, the outcome may have been a little different. I would know, I sold all my characters, quit the csm and gave up free trips to iceland in the hope that people take not of how serious the problem was. Saying that, I did make a new character once this all blew up again, its been midly entertaining! :P Eve is a great source of entertainment and even without the game its great fun! :P |

Last night the police showed up at my house again, sticking pictures in my face and asking their stupid questions. Even though I was irritated at having my work interrupted I pretended to study the pictures and answered the way I always do: "No, I have not seen her... is that the girl from the tv? Yes officer, there have been an unusual number of these case lately. No, sorry, we can talk here on the porch..."
I could tell they were mad, really mad, and that made me smile.
After reading the OP in this thread I am smiling again.
