So I was sitting bored at home thinking on what CCP could create that could both increase the playerbase, generate them some more $$$, not make the playerbase rage, bring back old players, attract a different demagraphic of players and would allow people to play eve when they're away from home.
There is something like three times as many cellphones in the world as computers so this was the obvious path to follow. I know there are applications people have made that let you manage your skills and stuff, but I was thinking that a complete app from CCP that allowed all the administration functions of your normal accounts plus a few new games/ mechanics would be a great start.
Obviously the problem with phones is the diversity of power available, so any new mechanics or games would need to be pretty basic so that a wider range of people could play.Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.Ideas

The idea behind this feature is that you get a satisfying but not completely insane spreadsheets in space on cellphone mini game to play when you're away from eve, either at work or on holiday and away from an installed client.
Access to this feature would be from cellphones, tablet pcs/ ipads, or via a normal web browser.
Depending on your skills trained, you could have a limited amount of characters (10 maybe per account?)
Crew can be fitted onto ships/ pos/ labs/ command centers and give bonuses and/or penalties depending on their skills and class.
Each Ship, POS, Station, Lab and Command Center would have a limit to how many crew that can be fitted, relevant to its size and what it was.
Crew start off as a particular class and get skills specific to the type you chose, but they'd be able to cross train or specialise just like pod pilots do in eve now.
If you have a crew member fit to a ship you're currently flying, and its in the first slot, your voice notifications would change to match the sex and race of that crew member.Please visit your user settings to re-enable images.Base Crew Class Types and Skill Catagories + Bonuses/ Penalties

Primary income for ship crew (other than selling items they've made or researched, isk they've won from gambling or racing) would be from wages recieved from renting them out to crew other people's ships or their pos/ station/ command centers/ labs.
While you'd not be able to actually see whats happening to the ship they're currently flying on from a view like in the eve client, you could have some prerendered interior shots aswell as relevant notifications and news + map tools.
