I wish fleet fights actually looked like that. Most folks have to basically turn off their interfaces to reduce lag such that it's a game of little red X's. |

SO MANY THINGS ARE WRONG.
1. Those freighters were within the 40km docking radius of the station, they would have just docked.
2. Nobody roams with megathorns/hyperions unless they are for structure bashes, that was not a structure bash(rails are useless for anything but structure bashing) and blasters still can't get for max damage without being 0km from the target.
3. Where are the logistics? An proper baddon fleet has logistics that would LOLOL the gallente fleet. |

The trailer was a CCP covert operation to brain wash all the Gallente skilled pilots, into thinking that Gallente ships are uber, so it would stop us whining about how cr@p they really are, so all development time can be spent on a monocle for the other eye, and not fixing the game already!! |

So basically you are saying:
You are upset because CCP made a short promotional video that shows the highlights of a sub cap ambush/counter ambush and doesn't make an hour long video that shows the logistics, tactical warps, or other details that make no sense to non EVE players.
You are upset that this video doesn't feature a cap ship hot drop, even though sub cap battles still happen regularly.
You've never been in a fleet battle where you had a short range fleet versus a sniper fleet. IE: You've never fought Razor.
You've never been in a fleet battle that boiled down to getting a warp to point/ship into the center of their formation.
I've been in many battles similar to the one depicted in that video over the years. While I don't often fly ceptors anymore, I have been the pilot of the SB that slipped in and got the crucial warp in point for our fleet.
People pointing fingers and laughing are either being purposely obtuse, or complete noobs, take your pick.

Pretty typical really. FC asks for high DPS, half the bittervets show up in megathrons to relive their former glory. Freighter killin op--> nobody bothers to bring a covops to provide safe warpin on the sniper fleet.
Honestly the biggest problem I had with it was the "weapons free, kill em all" FC statement.
Intense, hands shaking moments are why I keep coming back to eve time and time again TBH. |

It's a promotional video for EVE.  The ending shot blending into an Incarna character was well done and entirely appropriate as the point was he felt as if he were really there, and since Incarna is part of EVE (whether you like it or not). |

I have not professed a like or a dislike to Incarna in this thread. A little history will teach you that CCP releases a new trailer for every expansion. Therefore it stands that they are promotional videos for the expansions and not simply "eve promotions" Normally those trailers focus on recent events or up coming features. This trailer features a fleet structure that died out in mid 2009 vs a fleet structure that has not been useful since 2005 with an audio overlay of an FC with 2010-11 coms style. The only reference to Incarna was some average (by industry standard) cgi and the word Incarna. Your claim that people who critique this video are obtuse or noobs is rather vapid. |
