It would not affect these forums since they are owned by CCP....

However the many fan sites that we all love and enjoy could be muffled in some respects. Keep in mind CCP has offices in Atlanta, GA, and thus does fall under US law. That is primarily the White Wolf division which could but a damper on WoD fansites if and when they get WoD completed. However CCP would have to chose to prosecute. There license for third party and fansites shows they are willing to do that however as a part of their corporate strategy, it'll bankrupt them just like it did TSR when E. Gary Gygax went after anyone publishing anything remotely resembling Dungeons&Dragons. Which is how D&D got owned by Wizards of the Coast.
